Been off soboxon for 10 days

I used to b on methadone maintenance for 13 yrs on a dose of 250 mg every day I detoxed myself off in less than 5 months I didn't listen to the dealer in the white lab coat ( the head of the clinic) his sole ambition was CASH from my ins co, and wanted to take me down 2 mgs a wk with that high of a dose I'd b a fossle by the time I was done I wanted to get thru the he'll and agony ASAP so I hear about soboxon and how it's not nearly as bad so said the dr who probably never took a drug in his life but being the nipple head that I am I listed to him and he put me on 3 a day thru the whole journey of soboxon I kept one thing in my mind why oh why did I rock n roll for six mos kickin methadone just to get chained up to this and I was constantly depressed even though the pain does not last as long it's just as :)(&@$ bad and by living on an opioid dependent drug I feel like all I can say for myself is I'm not strong enough I have to have a chemical and I know deep down in my heart I don't thanks for listening cookie

I'm so happy for u u did it the right way I'm an impatient ***** I wanted off and I wanted off now because of this so called wonder drug and being depressed I relapsed 4 x speed balling I don't ever want to go back I'm 43 yrs old I have 2 grown sons my son looked at me after not speaking to me for 3 months and said mom, u can blame it on the subs u can blam it on anything u want but regardless how strong your support system is this is a battle u have to fight alone great insight from a 24 yr old

It's NO w onder drug it's as bad as methadone its just more convenient I.e. U only have to visit the dr I x a month he gives u ur script and off u go till the following month I was on subs for 18 months totally depressed because I felt like why did I jump off methadone at 50 mg rock for six months just to get chained up in this? So I went inpatient and there protocol was to detox u with soboxon I told them kick rocks I want the traditional drugs motrin , clonadine bentyl and it was hard just as hard as methadone only it doesn't last as long

If you're on subs, you know they don't get you "as" high as methadone. As an addict, I said at first, "I feel normal." Fact is, I forgot what normal is. I haven't listened to my doctor either. He said take 16mg and I took 8mg, for similar symptoms you're describing. I began reducing so that I could function, but have kept myself feeling just a little low. I've been high long enough and never want to feel dope sick again. I'm down to 2mg with slow reduction and must say it has been totally doable compared to the methadone. Take it slow listen to your body. I never reduced more than 2mg at a time and waited at least 3 days between drops. Usually, the fourth day I felt ready. Now at 2mg, I'm only going down 1mg for 3 days. This has worked for me. Good luck and keep us posted.

How long have you been on the subs??  What happens if you don't take them?? I'm just curious. I don't know much about it except from what members say on this board. Some say its the best thing since sliced bread. And others say its the mothers of all to withdrawal from. Would you be so kind to share your experience with me and educate me as well.
