Benzodiazepine Hunger cravings?

Does anyone else get hunger cravings after taking Valium or Xanax?

I usually get hungry after I take Valium... And it's usually for sweet foods!! I could sit there and eat a whole cheesecake if I wanted to feeling the benzos.

I could go the whole day without eating yet pop my Valium and a bit later it's NOM NOM NOM time.

Is it just me?

Omg, I'm not the only one.  I've been suffering from sciatica.  The Dr. gave me Vicodin.  When I take it,  I crave food, especially sweets. Allow me to clarify,  I dislike chocolate.  However,  in the grocery store last night, I could not get checked out quickly enough... to rip into my food / sweets. It's like a need for food that I have never known.  Then when I wake up in the morning,  I feel so ashamed and guilty!

Oddly enough, I can take them forever and then just quit (4 a day prescribed). Norcos, however, are not that easy:-)

I can't really say myself...I don't take valium or xanax or any thing of that ilk...

Have you thought of stopping the benzos and thus improving your diet?
