HI congrats on wanting to get you life back  and especially your willingness to do what you got to do to make that happen......sobriety is not an ez road to follow
but it is so so worth it iv been clean off everything 789 days and am still learning new things about sobriety and the clean and sober lifestyle every day
remember you only get out what your willing to put in ....I have had people ask me what do I need to change to make this happen and its an ez answer only one thing ......everything  all persons places and things that remind you of using
if your willing to make that big of sacrifice this will work for you if not what you do will go up in vein ....I wish you all the best in your recovery stick to your plan even when it s u c k s ....its been 6yr 9mo since I have been in a pool hall but its a triger for my drinking and drugging so I had to give it up along with all the friends that I use to do it with ....today I have new friends real friends that actually care about if I live or dye and they wont just stand there and watch me kill myself slowly.....this is a lifestyle change but one that will bring you much joy it will be hard at first but push past it and you will have the rest of your life to enjoy without living in a fog I wish you all the best in your recovery good luck and God bless........Gnarly

Mackenzie:  You have made the best decision of your life.  This is not going to be easy but I'm certain, based on what you have written, you are not going to be alone.  I am a Dad who just found out that his daughter has been on Methadone.  She has been detoxing since last Friday (7 days).  Having her come to us and tell us what was going on and asking for help was good but as parents it still hurt.  We suspected she was doing something but as you may know users don't always tell the truth :o)  We are fighting to regain our daughter 22 yrs old and see her grow and enjoy the long beautiful life ahead of her.  The drugs took control and from some of the stories she has told me the past 4 days the detox is tough but the addiction was going to kill her.  I'm sure your parents are grateful and I hope and pray for you and your family.  Drugs destroy more than just the user. There are many people on here that can and will help,  Stay connected and remember the journey starts one step at a time.

"Addicts worry a lot,especially women"....haha!

Mackenzie:  I'm so happy to hear this!!  It won't turn around for you if you keep hating the process, though! You need to accept it and embrace it! It's the only way...

Stay in touch here and use the forum for support and advice.  Have you stopped the pills?
