Can I be Addicted even though I've never tried it?

I'm 19 have emotional and mental issues, I've drank alcohol before, and smoked marijuana once but what I fine is that when things get hard, all I think about is wanting to drink, smoke weed, or I've even thought about coke. I think about it and I like instinctually know that if I got my hands on it in one of these downs that I would not want to stop.

There is such thing as predisposition to addiction, I think I am one of them. I wish I had found help before I chose the long, hard road of addiction. Anyone who has taken drugs long enough will tell you, "They stop working, then you have your original problems plus drugs." I'm really glad you are reaching out for help. You sound like you have the compulsion and obsession that could lead to trouble. There is no problem so big that drugs can't make it worse. Good luck.

Yes PLEASE find a professional to discuss this with because as said above being addicted to any drug is noway to live because it goes from on the weekends oh It makes me feel good to having an outrageous tolerance and havi g to have it to just feel normal the feeling good parts goes away fast and then drugs control your every move because withdrawal makes it where u will really have to plan your entire life around having drugs or not and will ruin every relationship you have eventually because any and every addict at one point said I would never steal and never choose drugs over my family or girlfriend or whatever it might be and eventually they do because as an addict we don't control the drugs while active in addiction they control us

Addiction is not about the drug. It is about our behavior and the reasons behind why we abuse substances. I suggest that you get professional help before you find yourself in a situation that you can't get out of. A Life of drugs is no way to live.
