Clonidine

Hi there, I am tapering down from methadone, was at 130mgs two years ago, and am currently at 41mgs, now tapering 2mg /week. I am already starting to get withdrawal symptoms which surprises me as this is not really a small dose. I am going hot and cold and getting hot flashes and really nauseous. My methadone doctor told me that clonidine will help these symptoms, I know some of you have tried it. I was wondering if I should start taking it, I am so uncomfortable. I know this is a slow and low taper, is it worth getting it?

Hey, I am towards the end of my fourth day from roxis, and the Clonidine has worked wonders for me.  I was prescribed .1mg and I actually find that when I start to feel the w/d, I break it in half and it helps so much.  Be careful with it though, as you know it lowers your blood pressure, and I felt really weak at one point.  Good luck with everything!
