oh yeah, over the counter diphenhydamine allergy medicine/antihistamine helps - it's non addictive and will help you sleep/relax. accupunture has also helped me though this hellish past week.
Usual dosages for an average male is .1mg 3 times a day. Adjust by your size, etc. I'm a big guy (250 or so) and I used .2mg. Try low dosages. This is something that your doc really should write for and advise you on. Atarax (hydroxyzine HCL) is an antihistamine that can help with the anxiety symptoms that come with withdrawals. It's non addictive as well and ca help with sleep. There's some more info on my profile page. Just click the blue link that says Ga Guy to the left of this post.
that covers it pretty well..remember you will have dry mouth and it will drive you crazy..keep a lot of little hard candies around and drink lots of water...but it sure does help with the symptoms

oh and you will still go through w/d and feel ****** even with the clonodine - it just helps with possible slowing down of blood pressure - which feels good - takes away one aspect of the whole she-bag - may help you sleep - less freaked out.
you know when you are going through w/d and you feel like your blood is racing through your body - it is, your bp is high a lot of the time during w/d. clonodine slows everything in your body down and makes you tired/calm/more relaxed. thta's about it. it definitely helps to have it during any w/d or detox in the begining and i would assume it would be fine with the thomas recipe - as that uses natural supplements that should be fine with the clonidine - but ask a dr if you can.
