Cold Turkey - Again !

Well, I was all over these pages December 1st and managed to quick for 8 days. I was finally starting to feel normal again - not totally, but was getting there. I have been addicted to Hydoro 10mg for 9 years, last few big time. I was taking anywhere from 10-20 a day. I was off for 8 days! I fell, I feel horrible about it but I am ready to climb that mountain again - and stay there. I guess a question I have for now is If i cleaned my body for those 8 days, then went on like a 8 day binge so to speak will I still have the W/Ds as severe as last time? I can't believe I fell but I did. I want my life back and I am going to take it back. Just curious if I should expect the same physical deal I did when I stopped Dec 1, then I had not been clean for years. I dont know, looking for hope. I am so in to quitting permanently. I have the desire. Everything was smelling better, tasting better - weird energy i had. Help

I slipped this week but only took a half a pill one day, which was Wednesday. I felt okay yesterday (Thursday) but the physical wd's were back this morning! My legs are killing me and are restless and my tummy hurts so bad. It is horrible but like you I prepared myself for it and this is my body showing me why slipping again is not an option. I was only about a week clean so maybe it wont be as bad for ya. I hope not.
Good Luck!

Ya, Took last one at like 2pm yesterday. I took the day off today thinking I would feel like death, but I'm still waiting. I can't stop moving my right leg but I am ok with that. I guess I am just waiting to come crashing down like last time - it was hell for 4 days. Maybe it will hurt less this time, I will surely see soon. I will come back and post often. This is my XMAS gift to myself. To live again!

I am glad you came back and are trying again.I don't think many people here have succeeded on the first try. Each little slipup teaches us a valuable lesson and the most important thing is to keep trying. You will probably go thru some withdrawal, but this time you will be prepared and will be able to cope.Make sure you take the vitamins and nutrients and make a plan for the future because aftercare is so important. In fact it is the rest of your life. You liked the feeling clean and strive for that again. You have to want it more than the drug and you will succeed.Once you discover that you can function better without the drug, your desire for it will be less and you will overcome the cravings.Good luck and post again and we will help you

I with ya !  Although I have not taken that much a day -- I still screwed up and am turning to the board for encouragement and answers. It feels crappy to screw up but I guess with that you learn perserverence and strength. Best wishes to you as you climb that mountain again. I do not have the answers for you but if you want it bac enough you will do it!
