Cold Turkey on Hydrocodone need to take a drug test on Monday HELP

I am a nurse who has been taking 1/2-2 tabs of 7.5 mg hydro three or four times a day.
I am thinking that my work has an idea (I am an RN so bad news for me) but no proff as I have high reviews and well thought of etc. (if they only knew) I am on my second day with none.  I watched movies all last night instead of sleeping and I am drinking a lot of water to flush my system in case of drug test.  I feel cold and am taking immodium for the runs.  Beside that I feel physically okay.  Will this get worse?  In three days I have a meeting and don't want to appear to be in withdrawl.  Any suggestions or help?

I read on the internet under the drug name percocet (which I am on), that the drug is not detectable in the urine after 2 days of taking it.  Had a friend once who had a drug test coming up and she quit using for 3 days, drank gallons of water and passed with flying colors (for what it's worth).

If I were you, Id be much more worried about the calling in false RX's than a drug test. A failed drug test can make you lose your job possibly, but getting caught doing prescription fraud is a felony and can lead to jail. Did you go inside the pharmacy when you picked up those Rx's? I think most stores have security cameras installed and you could possibly be identified... GOod luck to you and keep us posted.

and btw Im a mom of two little boys and thought I was super mom on vicodin too. Its more common than you think. Theres a lot of moms here.

I am needing support as you are it.  Thanks for the good info I have always taken multi
vitamins and am eating very healthy,  I am not up for runnung but will switch to a quick walk.  Day three and I am feeling fine.  Nervous about my upcoming work meeting.  I am not longing for the drug I just don't want the shakes when I am in my meeting,  Its two days away thanks for the help

Start taking lots of B vitamins today.  B6, B12 etc.  Eat regular meals even though you don't feel like it. Take tylenol for chills and 'pains' and go easy on the imodium. Augment this by drinking some fruit juices like cranberry and apple.  The glucose will ease the withdrawal and calm the stomach. And keep caffeine to a minimum.  The bad news is that you have a problem.  A big problem.  You need help pronto.  You may think this will stop but it doesn't.  You have WAY too many expectations and for some reason think others do too.  Thats fine but do you see how its bringing you down?  I see someone who is not happy whatsoever.  Guess what? You are not alone in this.  An addict doesn't have to lose a job, lose a family, or disappoint people to stop.  Some addicts don't acknowledge that luxury.  This could be the wake up call to save your life, literally!  Listen to it.  As for the urine test, the best thing you can do is walk through it.  You are getting honest with yourself, don't cheat yourself now.  I would LOVE to tell you how to beat it but it doesn't serve a purpose.  If you load up on vitamins etc. you will probably have untraceable amounts by Monday.  Let us know what happens.

im not an expert, but from what your saying........I don't believe you will pass.  And, it sounds like you might be in a bit of trouble from what I read......if i read correctly.  You were calling in bogus prescriptions????  that can be a real serious problem.  I hope everything works out.  keep us posted.  I am a little amazed that you being a nurse that you don't have a clue what to expect.  I am not trying to be mean.  I am truly concerned for your career.  Do you have to take the drug test or are you anticipating one....Im a little confused.

I have been taking them for two to three years.  Never more than 4-6 a day.  Yes at work I have called in meds "for my husband" he has no idea and then I put them in a vitamin bottle and no one has ever suspected because I am at the higest position for my age and have recieved several awards for nursing.  I am very involved childrens classes and  acivities I have large social circle and am well thought by all.  When this came up  at work a pharmacy faxed a doctor for a refill that I called in and an investigation is occuring.  I have an attny (my family is wealthy and have gone to this firm for probates, realestate, and My company thinks someone like a patient or random  person has done this.  All has been paid in cash and never signed for.  I look at myself and have been the best cheerleader, gymnast,. valadictorian, and the ultimate soccer mom who still gets called the homecoming queen.  I am the only one who knows I am far from perfect and a total lying addict It will stop and will not be replaced by anything else.  I am not a drinker , smoker, nor have I ever drugs util I had my second chilc and had to whip back into shape be beautiful again and the best mom as well as part time nurse.  I was praised and felt like a fake.  Then I was given a vicoden and felt that it helped me play the part everyone that I should play.How dumb and horrible.  Sorry for such a long rant I have never admited to anyone including myself.  I flushed the hydrocodone two days ago and am taking immodium nd a lot of water and hot baths what else can I expect and will it get worse?Thanks for all you help and support.

I'm a nurse too.  You will likely feel a bit better by Monday.  You may not be clean by then though so if you don't have to take a drug test I wouldn't   For daily users it takes up to 5=6 days to get out of you system.  You can drink tons of fluids to help flush it out.  Why do you have to test?  Do they suspect?  Are you getting the drug from work?  Feel free to privately email me if you want (you hold the mouse over my screen name and select send message.
I have been caught as it were but no licensure actions due to treatment and monitoring program.  Good luck

How long have you been taking them? That will have an impact on the severity of your withdrawals. As for the drug test, I don't know how long it takes to get out of your system, but try to keep your electrolytes balanced by drinking a replacement like gatorade or Propel, because if your urine is weak or off balance it may look suspicious. I don't know, but that's all I can really say. Hope it helps some. Good luck!
