are you on methadone maintenence?
No Hon, Nothing like that. just Norco
oooohhh ok. chronic pain?
Used tp be but just staying even now....
we know all about that now don't we? I still take more tussionex than I should sometimes like on the weekends to get high. my rx is for twice the normal dose b/c i've been on it so long and need more just to be effective but then sometimes i take even more than that, and a little more xanax to make that "perfect" high. Yeah it's not good to do that but honestly, people go to bars every day of the week and get wasted and drive or take care of their kids, it's super dangerous. I take a little more of a legally prescribed med. that poses no danger to me or anyone around me.....think about it.
If meds ran my life and I was getting too high to function and doing it all the time that would obviously be a diff. story. Dependence does not equal having a problem.
I tapered off before I got pregnant when we decided to have a baby. I went back to being just as miserable as I was my entire life prior to taking my meds. So like I said, if the time comes that I don't need them anymore or some new drug pops up that is actually effective then I won't need my meds but until then....
If the meds interfered in my life or in my daily activities or work then yes I would have to get off of them but unlike most people, hydrocodone doesnt make me feel more tired or awake, neither does xanax. I went over 7 years before i experienced any w/d symptoms from hydrocodone. I would take it 3 months daily then 2 or 3 months not at all. About 8 months ago I had w/d's when I didn't take it for the first time. So I got some other meds from my sleep and allergy specialist and my ENT for my sinuses and allergies and once again I couldnt function enough to make it into te shower every day.
thats what my mom says my codiene is the same as her wine. she not alling down drunk and I'm taking care o business right.
