Hi,  I am wanting to quit my Darvocet use.  I take 6 650mg a day and want to stop.  How do I taper and what do I expect in the progress and how long should I do this...I am so sick of them.  Help me please thank you

What to expect? is actually something I can tell you. You will get the cold chills,cold sweats,night sweat, diharia, maybe vomiting. Mostly stomache pains from needing it so bad and diarhia

Tapering is hard because we, as addicts, want our drugs and when we start reducing our dose we crave it even more. I am sure you are familiar with this process. We cannot help you with an actual taper plan as it is a violation of our guidelines. I have to suggest that you speak with your prescribing physician and get honest. Tell him/her you need help with a taper plan.
