Thanks so much for the insight, i totally agree..None of my true friends or family do drugs at all..So the one good thing is that I will not be surrounded by it at all. I cant honestly tell you that I have stopped..but I am certainly in the process of stopping...i had my dr appointment today and confessed everything, he was incredible. I was thinking all weekend about what to say and i was so nervous and everything went perfect..he put me on an anti depressant and some medicine to help the production of acid in my stomach, which is the most unbearable wd symptom for me..i have tremendous support around me since i have opened up to everyone in the past week..since i told my dad about it i have used twice which really hurts because it shows the lack of control i have..my brain is just a different entity at this point in time..I want this SO BAD..i have the next two weeks off work to get this done..i have 2 subs but i dont really plan to use them, i just wanna tough this out..its so hard to not sleep and feel like butt for over a week but what can i do? the bottom line is i put myself in this situation and i can either give in or fight..and ive never given up in anything ive done..and i love my life far too much not to fight my tail off..this forum helps a lot and people like you are a great inspiration..i feel like i am totally ready for the mental part since I truly truly want to quit and dont enjoy the pills anymore, i just CAN NOT deal with the physical aspect..but i just have to do it anyway!

I also wanted to add that at first activities that we used to love doing will come back. I didn't wanna do nothing at first, nothing seemed fun when I first got clean, but that will change. Let me know how you are ok.

The big thing I changed was to stop hanging around those that used. I was pretty wild during my coke and drug days, bars, chicks, so many friends and party party party. I stopped doing the things I loved like sports and all the simple things in life. I am more of a homebody now,  but maybe I am getting older, lol. I guess there are some things i have to be careful about now for my recovery and it does suck sometimes, but I prefer to take my dogs for a walk instead of going to a bar now? Omg, what has happened to me, lol.

I guess the answer to your question is YES, i had to put an effort into changing my lifestyle, but as i got more clean time and didn't want dope no more, i realized it was the simple things in life that made me happy, not being high. If i didn't change my lifestyle, i would not be clean today.

So what is going on with you? Have you stopped?

Can you tell me what you did to change the activities in your life post-use? I know that my brain is going to be foggy for a while, but before I started oxys I was very outgoing, just enjoyed life and had sooo many friends. I was one of those people that was NEVER home, i was always out and about doing something. Ever since I started the oxys I am more of a homebody, I like to watch TV and just hang out..As I have been stopping its just not fun anymore to sit around all day so I know I need to make changes. I was curious if you made a conscious effort to change your lifes activities or if you just went with the flow of things? Thanks buddy

When I first quit coke and would have a few drinks, my mind changed so fast and I would start obssesing about coke, the cravings are so intense and scary sometimes. I think you should stop drinking, it can be a big trigger for coke use too. If you are really worried you can always see a dr. It took a couple months for my nose to heal, but the first month was horrible, I thought my nose was gonna fall off, uggg.

The chest pains are normal, the damage coke does to the heart and nervous system can be fatal sometimes. Are you willing to get any aftercare to stay clean? I do think your nose will heal for the most part. I did create some health pages here about cocaine if you look in the top right you will see health pages, check it out if ya have time. We are here to give support so stick around. Life is amazing clean:)

no nose bleeds and the longest has been around a year, but have used for 9 years before it was social use (as if that makes it sound better) but went mental last year and imy nose has just changed shaped with horrible dents at the sides and the bridge is caving in, it seemed to happen within the last two weeks/binges its my own fault so not feeling sorry for myself and to be quite honest im glad its happened as i would of carried on, if this is the visible damage god only knows what else iv done to myself. i just wanted to kno if its gonna improve with time. Well done for staying clean, i think im gonna have to stop drinking as thats wen im more likely to do something stupid. I get really bad chest pains too a couple of days after use so i kno im pushing my luck.

I made a small hole in my nose after my heavy coke use for 5 years, but it's not visible at all. If you have damaged your septum or made a hole that will not heal, but most times the rest will. After being clean from this drug for quite some time now, my sense of smell is completely back, the tissue has all healed and no more scabs and no pain at all. I guess I got lucky. Put an end to this now, nose damage is the least of your worries when using coke.

What is the longest you have stayed clean? Are you having many nosebleeds now?
