Day 12 off opiates

Well my slow taper off Klonopin didn't go well.  Back on 2 mg in evening.  What a waste of suffering!  So depressed from detoxing these.  Can hardly leave the house.  Have 2 doctors appts. tomorrow; Husband said be ready for a push from him.  One of my apps is a magnesium infusion.  Takes about an hour in the most humbling place of a hospital.  The people around me are very sick, some dying.  That should kick my butt in gear!  

Must stabilize first.  Hurts bad to go faster.  I am using Xanax as lower replacement but must slow way down.  I have fewer headaches as you all promised being off opiates.  I feel so much better.  I will try again to detox off the Klonopin.  My question:  how long did it take for you all to detox'd off this junk?  thanks in advance for your response.❤

I'm sorry you're going through it! Benzos can be rough. I used them to ease the w/d's off Methadon & they really set my healing back. I didn't even take them every day. I dropped them when I noticed my tolerance escaltaing after 3 mos. That's when the true sleeplessness kicked in.

It took me about three weeks to a month to stop feeling the benzo w/d symptoms. (They stay in your system for a while.)

I agree with 1sorryperson. Slow & easy wins the race with benzos. Any possibility of them doing a Valium taper on you?

I am going to bump this up. We all are a bit different on bouncing back. I think age, health and how long and how much we used has a lot to do with this. As soon as you are free from the benzo too you will see a big change. Time is the Greatest Healer. So be patient and go with the flow. The rewards out weigh the days we used.
Congratulations on your clean days from the opiates. Ya!!!!!

last time i quit xanex, i tapered from 3mg/day to zero in half a year, spent last month of it at 1/4 every other day, then 3rd day, etc till done.   the slower the better on benzos.
