Day 2 W/D's Hydos

Man, last night barely slept at all, woke up several times with a damp shirt I had to change. My stomach will not stop gurggerling and cant stop moving my leg. My dreams (when I am out) are very weird and abstract in ways, is that normal? actually when using I did not really even have dreams, not that I could remember anyway. Food still sounds bad, but am drinking water like crazy to try and flush. Fluttering in chest is anxiety but know it is because of the WD. I have a long drive to make this weekend and hoping to god I am ok enough to make it, have to. Be day 5 then. Money, relationships and many other things lost as a result of all of this. I can not wait to feel some freedom from this addiction. This is one tough journey....still fighting, just struggling

Thanks spnynxs, I appreciate that. I actually just ate one. Funny you say that I was in hosp a few years back and they had to give me potassium cause I had none, or close to none. I was heavily dumping pills then too - wow. The whole soaks out the Potassium comment on another post made me think. Anyway, about 10 water bottle, 3 cokes and a Banana. Hope it helps. Pretty damn nervous right now. I'm trying so hard to keep my mind busy it just always comes back. I know its new at day 2. Very nervous about sleep and the lack but Its the price I am going to have to pay for where I am I guess. What a looooooooooooooong day

Gotta tell ya, I'm damn proud of you. It seems to me that you are committed to recovery. Like Radio says, it will get better. Each day it gets a little better. Eat some bananas. I''ve been telling everyone that since I found out that it helps with leg cramps. Potassium. You're gonna make it! I wish you all the luck I can emit over the net! LOL. Keep me posted.

Hi and welcome to the forum ...first off congrads on 2 days clean your on your way now
you just have to be ok without being ok for a wile wile you detox its going to take a few days but in the end you'll be free of the physical part of the addiction...start checking into some aftercare like N/A meetings in your area ...there great for support and will
get you around some clean people...you need to break the ties with old using friends
use your symptoms to strengthen your resolve to quit...tell yourself nothing is going to have this control over me....if you believe in God nows a good time to pray..I found prayer to be helpful with withdrawal symptoms ...hot baths help a lot also just hang in there and know its going to get better...fight the good fight and you will win
good luck and God bless.....Gnarly
