Thank you! Forcing fluids today. Hopeful for a better day Tommorow!
Dont worry about losing your clean time. Focus on getting better. Get some much needed rest today. You can always cook up a turkey when you feel better. Every day we are clean is Thanksgiving~
Feel better!
Hey All,
Thanks for the positive encouragement. It means so much! My husband just left w my girls to go see both of our families 2 hours away and I am stuck here sick and feeling sad that I have to miss Thansgiving but I can't chance getting anyone else sick. I don't have anything new to report, still coughing and hacking. I am continuing all my vitamins and just pray that I recover from this quickly. Trying so hard not to play " Woe is me "..... But this *****! I don't feel well, It's Thanksgiving and I miss my family! Hope everyone is enjoying their day
Ugh...chest infections are awful... I've heard they are common when detoxing...I'm surprised I haven't gotten one. I keep seeing these commercials for the pnemonia vaccine, but my doctor was OUT of them, and when I went to my local drugstore, they said my insurance wouldn't cover it because I wasn't over 60!
I wouldn't count the codeine as a relapse at all. You have to have SOME relief from the constant coughing and codeine is a very mild opiate at that. Used just as directed, it is NOT a relapse.
Feel better, honey. Lots of rest, push the fluids. I know everyone says the latter, but it really is true. I worked for a doctor once who used to say "drown the enemy"!
Hope you are up and around soon!
Hugs,
-Robin
Hello all. I'm not a dr. My research has shown when detoxing your immune system very low. There is herbs called echneasea with goldenseal. This is a natural way build up T cells which is immune system. If u take 1st onset of anything works great. Or take like 3 weeks than go off 10 days. If sick double up 1st few days. Again I'm not Dr so always check with or and pharmaciest
Hi!
I am so sorry that you are so sick..what a drag. On the other hand I think your post was full of inspiration and you are doing all the right things. Very proud of you..Just know that it does take time for the Brain & Body to adjust back after the removal of these Stims..Make sure you are drinking TONS of water and try adding some Lemon to the water..Lemon is a great one too for building your immune system back up..There are tons of vit/min that will help but I am sure you will figure that out as you heal more & more.Any Antitoxins are great. I have a little over 2 yrs and my vit/min have changed from time to time for certain health reasons..Good Luck and Be Good and be Safe!
Nice Post.
Bless
Hi....well first off it is not uncommon to get flu and cold/coffs after detoxing im not a doctor but I have been on this forum since sept of 09 and seen it happen to a lot of people as for taking coff meds your not going to loose your clean time for that it is only if you decide to drink 1/2 the bottle to get High on it...just try to take care of yourself with time you will get threw this keep posting for support and I will pray for you......................................Gnarly.................
Hope you are feeling better soon. I've had pneumonia a couple of times and that is the sickest I have ever been. I went to the doctor, but about 2 a.m., I thought I was dying and had my husband take me to the emergency room. It takes awhile to get over it also. So, be kind to yourself. It can really knock you for a loop.
