Day 3 three off Hydrocodone.. little relief

So, I am day three into this, last taken on Friday @ 7:00pm, and Sat was not too bad, Sunday was awful, and today I just woke up (well, got out of bed... not a full night sleep) and am looking for some support to continue on this path of detox.  I want to feel good without these things, and its going to be a hard next couple of days I think.

My last binder was 72 pills in 9 days, (720 mg) and have been taking them since May.  I ran out of them and decided to stop all together, as I said in the past, I am a newlywed, and I am failing as a husband with these things.... I have 2 ruptured discs, and degenerative disc disease, so I have legit pain, but chose to accept the pills (hey we all like them right?)

I want to be a good husband to my wife, a good employee, and just a good person!  I am feeling pretty low on day three, and my back is on fire.  The rest of my body is aching like crazy, just finished a long hot shower, and am about to drink tons of gatorade.

Thinking I am going to call in sick today, and pray day four is better!

Thanks for listening!

Each Hour is getting a bit better, the runs seem to have stopped! Yeah! Does that mean I am on the down turn?  My body still aches and the body temp is going a bit crazy, getting warm again...

I used to be on Cymbalta, and stopped that somewhat cold turkey this fall and had tons of withdrawals, more in the head (brain zaps) and my nerves were crazy alive ... I don't recommend anyone to try this med. That was no expected!  These withdrawals were I guess... Hopefully, they will be a thing of the past!

Thank you all for your help!  Once this is done, weed is next, then nicotine... goals of 2009!!!

You’re doing great! Trust me it does get a lot better…soon. After day 5 I started to feel upbeat and I began to start thinking clearer. I’m trying a lot of alternatives to pain management which I’m finding out from others here…so stick it out then you can focus on decreasing your pain level. Good Luck

oh yes we do like them. they end up taking more than they give though and that aint cool. i am trying to be a better wife, mother and person. i am on day 5 now but have been trying to stay clean since the beginning of december. this time feels right because i know i am doing everything i need to. i have support in place. i have blown the whistle on myself to everybody. my husband is a goldberg look alike ( but he's really just a big sweetheart) has scared the **** out of all my pill buddies. i ahd to take something to help me sleep last night but don't even want that kind of pill in my home. if you can get through the next few days w/o losing your head, you will be doing so much better. i know the 12 step progs say we are powerless. that never would stick with me. now for me control is power. i am controlling my aftercare, which in turn is controlling my mind and body. i just can't give the control back to the drugs. does that make sense to you? anyway, best of luck! you are not alon. peace   sway
