Day 4. HOLY COW! What a rough night.

Based off experiences...when does the physical crap begin to fall off?  I cant remember from my last attempt.  I've read several posts of people saying day 7 they really began to feel good but I've read others stating 30 days.  I know it probably depends on how long and what kind of opiate we take.

Not looking forward to work today.  I'm almost afraid to say this for fear of jinxing it but....the mental symps are almost non-existent.  I'll get anxiety attacks through the day but they may only last an hour or so then they go away.  No motivatoin at all but I expected that.

I still get the cold chills/crawling skin and my body aches all over and only a few hours of sleep each night but expected this as well.  Hoping today I get some relief.

If I remember right... days 2 thru 4 we the worst physically (sweats, no sleep, shaky, foggy, etc.). Day 5 my sleep was all messed up and I just did nothing all day. Day 6 was a bit better but I was unmotivated and just 100% unproductive at work and around the house and lots of mental fog. Day 7 was a bit better but there was still mental fog. From day 8 thru 11 it got better each day until day 12 (today) at which point I feel the rays of motivation and energy coming back here and there. It has been a great day! I never had anxiety. Probably because I didn't move from the couch all that much. I have not had any cravings and I am thankful for that.

This was after somewhere between 14 and 16 years of 20+ painkiller per day until the last few weeks of tapering - which for me I believe helped.

Hang in there - I'm so glad I did ~ T

Drink some protien shakes and try to keep active. Surrender to the process cause you need to get thru it to get over it. You are in good shape. Day 9 was a pivotal turning point for me. I was almost blissful and euphoric. Your doing great, This will get so much better in a short time. Not to add to your worries, but the mental won't fully kick in till the physical is gone. It's like our brains focus on one thing at a time so just be ready with the shield and tools when your done with the discomfort, which will be very soon. Congrats on day 4!

It really is per person and per detox time,  I've done it twice and each were slightly different, This time by day 4 into day 5 my body was feeling MUCH better only had small stuff, Like not being able to control body temp. still getting hot and cold stuff liek that , but nothing major like the creepy crawly feeling. Your doing great!! Stick with it! :)

Hey, I'm hoping for you too. I've been through this crap all weekend and still no relief....well, one hour here and there. The last time I w/d from vicodin, I was on my 5/6 day and gave up...It's gotta depend on how much your taking, because this time is a bit better for me and I had been trying hard to lower myself to only 4, Before it was 7/8 a day. SO good luck:)
