Day 5 codeine/cocodamol withdrawal

So, it's been 5 days since I took any pain killers, and although I get peaks and troughs, I slept straight through last night.  The side effects haven't been as bad as I expected, or as they were last time, and I feel like I'm coming out the other side as far as the physical withdrawal goes.  I have to now concentrate on not switching one addiction for another.
Thank you to every single one of you for taking the time to support me through this, I've felt like I've had my very own troop of angels cheering me on. I could buy the vitamins, the supplements, the things to ease withdrawal, but I could never have bought the time and effort you guys have given me.

So glad you are coming out of the dark days Owl...you will still have ups and downs but nothing like that last few days.  Hugz

I'm so glad you hiked! I made myself walk this morning and I just feel so much better afterwards, but I too feel exhausted and broken right after.

Today has been really good for me. I hope this is the turning point for us. I didn't even have to take any b vitamins this morning, my energy is back, my body doesn't hardly hurt anymore and I just feel so much happier. Let me know how tomorrow is for you, I love reading your progress, you've come so far! We both have!

I've been on a 5 mile hike today, and I'm absolutely shattered, but it got me out and lots of fresh air too.  How's your day been BlueJay? I'm sure your sleep pattern will even itself out. Take care and let me know how you've got on.

Sounds good!  Do you have an aftercare plan?  We recommend it...the more support and safeguards the better!

I'm happy this has gone as well as it has, so far-

So glad you're doing better! My sleep still isn't back to normal but that's amazing that you were able to sleep all night! I'm finding hard to stay awake at night like I used to, I now go to bed early and I wake up so early now.

It's still early morning here so I don't know how today is going to go but I'll let you know. Keep up the great work Owl!
