Self-Prevalence

Out of the clutches of darkness
Blackness followed by light like an eclipse of the sun
So too shall troubles pass
Live, endure, struggle and win

Battling your thoughts to conquer your actions and emotions
The chances are as vast as all of the oceans
You need only set sail and let the winds of life guide your road
Your life is a story that has not yet been told
By your hand it is written
Page by page, day by day
You are the warrior that keeps the demons at bay

Your life is a succession of present moment after present moment
What will you do in the now?

Since meeting you just over a month ago, I have learned that you are intelligent, talented beyond belief, introspective, strong, and loving, with many, many future adjectives to come! This is a beautiful, uplifting, powerful poem that needs to be shared with many people. When you go to your next NA/AA meeting, read it. You'll make a difference in people's lives. Wow. Very nice poem. Very inspiring. Day 2 and need all the inspiration I can get. This is it for me, do or die is how I am now looking at it all. So, I have to do - just awful though
