Day one

It's the first morning with no medication and the birds are chirping. Cars are driving along the road, the cold is going down for the day. I took everything I have to take except the L-thysine and the hthp5 (I think that's what it's called). Something interesting I heard, my mother in law was a nurse and told me that my pulse beating as hard as it does is a sign of my heart working overtime and that does not mean I have high blood pressure. What it does mean though is that either if I can do it now, or after the WD's of the pain pills, I have to quit smoking. After taking all the stuff, I don't feel bad, but because of not being able to take almost anything for energy, I am feeling lethargic. I have chills already, my nose is stuffy, other than that, I am good. I took the immodium first thing and my stomach is doing much better.

So, I got a lot of work to do at the house, but in between, I will check on, and I will post if there is any specific change.

Sorry I didnt message back last night didnt know you had to hit the refresh button to see new messages. Yeah norcos was the last thing I got until I got back on suboxone which was back and forth. Yeah norco detox doesnt last as long as suboxone. You are fortunate. You will start feeling better by the time you go to work definitely. Oh and melatonin is a natural supplement that helps sleep.

Jrizzy303, it was norcos, and I got no choice but to hang on, I can't get anymore, but I understand what you are saying and thanks for the support.

Mumma2many, I have a small electric heating pad, so until taxes come in, that will have to do, the good news is it will be day 6 before I have to go to work. Thank you for the support.

Yeah I still get the chills. And I thought the same thing. Thought I was flu sick. Sneezing, diarreah, runny nose. More than likely its the detox. Hang in there I'm sure you went through this when you didnt have any meds. Once you get to that fifth day it gets alot better.

The chills man.....................

With using all these things to make myself not feel so bad, that is the one thing I can't shake, the chills. I am happy that is it so far, but the chills................

Also, I don't know yet, but everyone in the house is sick, and I think I might have caught what they have. It could just be the WD's, but, I can't tell. LOL, what luck. Well, I guess it's not funny, but the irony is delicious.

Hey today is day 16 for me without suboxone which is so similar to pain pills but the detox is longer. In order to stay clean I stayed home for the first few days. Thank God I had a window of no work. I took multivitamin, b complex, lysine, a protein shake almost every day and I recently started a natural supplement that is better than 5htp called SAM-e. For better mood and joint comfort. I also see a counslor. I recently started working out at the gym. For starters try to walk around the block a day and move around. Also try to eat as much good food as you can. Oh yeah read a good motivational book. I'm reading a book called Happier by Tal Ben-shahar really good book. feel free to message me . Hang in there. And if you have a belief in your higher power pray to him.

There's enough help to go around,Joseph. Post whenever you feel like it!

Just a thought...Are you curious about the man who created the Thomas recipe? I know I was and WOW,what a guy he was.

If you go to the archives, you can do a search on Thomas02,Thomas03,and Thomas 07. It's all the same man...and you can read his posts from long ago.

Thank you. The funny part is it don't matter how bad it would get, I can't get any more. Well, it's kind of funny, but this Thomas recipe/ amino acid thing is making me feel 98% better than the first time I tried with nothing but my diazapam.

Thanks to the rest of you, so that I don't keep this post to far on the board, and other and new people can get the help they need, unless it's something big, I am only going to post tomorrow.

I appreciate it all.

Hi Joseph!  Good morning!

So far so good, huh?   Get your BP checked,it's probably not as high as you think. The pulse and BP can be a lot different;one higher and one lower. Not unusual. So,it's good to know what both are before you get way in to this.  And,you know I agree with Laurel, one thing at a time. That way you won't be cranky!

Set up your tracker!!

i would wait for some time to quit smoking ... the abstinence from the nicotine would send your anxiety to really high levels and you will have to cope with too much at the same time. This is just my opinion. Anyway, just wanted to encourage you at this time, keeping ourselves on a positive mood is the best thing we can try... i say try because there are times that this is  hard but keep on mind that there is light at the end of this journey you are starting now. Good luck :)
