Drug addict relapse

Im back. I stopped a 7 yr opiate addiction June 09 and was clean for about 9 months. I went back and now on day 2. My withdrawels seem as bad as they were last year.  Will it take as long this time?  It took about 3 wks last yr

meeting makers make it!!!!!  I always thought it was kind of funny how as addicts we are reluctant to stop doing something that is killing us yet we are so ready to stop doing something that is saving our life.   HMMMMMMMM.........

This time don't stop your aftercare.  That's what got you in my opinion!  Each time we go back to drugs, it's worse than the time before, until we finally hit bottom.

You can do this this time!  Just do the next right thing! : )

I am sure your wd's will be just as bad as they were before.  It's the price we pay.  Take this time now to make a plan so this doesnt happen again.  You can do it!!     sara

i slipped last week cos of pain (on day 23) only took 1 oxy and 1 endone for the day -but the next 3 days were like the first few -i was so sick, but came sort of good after that. so i guess even a small slip can have major effects..

I was going to meetings for about 3 months then stopped. I went back just as heavy if not higher ammounts. I have the loving support of my wife which helps. I was here last June and this place helps alot. Thanks for answering

Yes, about the same time....3-5 days for the worst physical part.  Were you going to meetings or a therapist or any aftercare for that 9 mnths?  If not, that would be a great place to start this time, so this won't keep happening! : )
