There are a couple of things you can do:
You can call the hospital where your surgery is scheduled and ask to be connected with the Anesthesiolgy Dept. Ask one of the doctors there; someone is always there on the weekend. OR
Go at your scheduled time tomorrow morning and tell the admitting nurse and the anesthesiologist prior to surgery. Good luck!
If your that concerned about it and need the answers today instead of in the morning then call and speak to the on call Dr. Even if the office is closed, They should have someone taking call.
Sorry. I would call the Doctor but their office is not open on Sunday. The surgury is at 7:00 am. tomorrow. First post ever. Just seeking help. I'm not sure what to do.
I think your concern is the fact that you took an NSAID prior to surgery due to the increased risk of bleeding during surgery. Is that right? If so, check with your Dr. by calling him/her and have their answering service contact the Dr. to call you back today.
I made the mistake of taking two Advils the night before my knee surgery. I told the Dr. that morning, and they did not cancel the surgery and everything went fine. But you must tell the Dr. asap.
Good luck to you on your surgery!
This isnt a question for a substance abuse forum. You should consult your physician about weather you should cancel or not. Nobody here can answer this question for you.
