dear duchess golden, if you are the profesional you claim to be, you will not be ofended by this queston:  when i first tryed to pin you down about adictions you had, why didnt you menton the darvocet, ultram, codeine, and morphine at tht time?  if you are trully a dr or therpist, you kno that you don't have to be a full blown addic to fit in.  we respet your knoledge; plese dont offen us with makin up storys.  i kno i will catch hell for ths but i am speeking to you from my heart.  wen if first asked you about you havin adictions, you only mentined cough syrup and xanax, and you wer stil takin those and hadnt wd from them. i tryed to pin you down an you then tol me that you "weaned" off ativan when you wer 19 to go on ambien insted. an that you "weaned" off the cough syrup and xanax when you and hubby wer plannin for a baby. but then you got rite back on them. i dont thin you have had severe wds like som of us but thats ok.  pleese do not make adictions up.  and again i am not tryin to be disrespetful or bash you.  my dr always apreciate it when i ask him strait questons.   no disrespet entended.  and plees membrs of this bord, plees do not bash me.  i am just expresing my feelins and tryin to talk to duchess golden.   MS. I really dont look to her for advice cause I can find the same stuff online if I"m interested. Plus she gets way to technical,,shes got us in wds for 10yrs to life. I"d rather talk to real people. I"am a little confused though,,is she saying shes a dr studying addiction and shes in active addiction ?

very touchy.  but evertime somebody trys to say somethin about her, they get blasted.  shes got everone in this place fooled.  profesionals do not act like that.  an i did read all her post.  but i am the stupid one, just being me and not somebody i'm not.  oh well, i was just asking.  MS DAYTONA

C6 beachtowel as a licensed psychologist, no you cannot write prescriptions(unless you go the long way, 1) doctorate 2) own practice for minimum of 5-7 years 3) apply for prescription privileges). As a PA (there are 2 PA programs here that take 18 months-so that's what I did while working on my masters) or NP yes you can write prescriptions under an MD. And a psychiatrist, being an MD, (look it up if you don't get it this time-psychiatrists are MD's psychologists are not) that works in my building is who I write scrips under.

just be carefull becaus somebody will come on here and knaw your head off for expresing your feeling.  i dont care becaus i kno other peple feel the same way but are too afrad to say anything.  even CATUF said somethin about her plagerizing but he has balls and nobody blast him.  ive been atacked evertime ive said somethin about her.  i jus feel sorry for the peple that hang on her words and shes given bad advise befor.  now we have to take a numbre and ask her politely an she will anser our questons.  what dr has ever had so much time to spen on a internet forum?  but like i said, im just dumb old me but im me and nobody else.

If you had kept up with the posts you would have more of the entire story. I've answered the questions I have been asked even though it's not my responsibility to do so here or anywhere else. I am not offended at a strightforward question I am offended at being honest and being told I am not telling the truth. I never mentioned darvocet or codeine or ultram when I was asked what I was taking currently. That would be because what I am currently taking includes the tussionex and xanax not the others. The ativan I weaned off of @ 19 was inresponse to someone asking me if I ever weaned off of a drug because weaning is "such a process" Ativan came to mind first and of course you might know why the tussionex and xanax stood out to me had you , umm, I don;t know,......READ MY POSTS! (wow I'm really gettin tired already of posting the same info over and over) Anyhow hopefully this will be the last time. If you ask me a question I will answer you accordingly, no one had actually asked what what I had experienced w/d from or what I had weaned off of over a lifetime until yesterday.( and that was under the assumption that I was against going c/t no matter what which was clarified if you read the posts) So now you not only want my professional resume in every post but my drug resume also, hmmm. If you don't believe I have been in severe w/d that's not my issue, but no one asked the question as of yet.( and even still, I have made references to being in withdrawal in posts chatting with others) You might get a more understanding response if you post a less accusatory question. I don't mind my patients asking me straight forward questions either, with some of them I encourage that, but my patients do not ask me questions on the pretense that I'm lying.

I AM NOT RETURNING TO THIS POST AGAIN. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO KNOW SOMETHING YOU WILL HAVE TO ASK LIKE EVERYONE ELSE. I WILL NOT RESPOND TO A QUESTION LIKE THIS. NO ONE IN LIFE SPEAKS TO ME THIS WAY AND IT CERTAINLY WON'T HAPPEN ON THE INTERNET AND GET A SINCERE REPLY.
