Enjoying the simple pleasures again...

I'm sick with the flu and feeling terrible but I have been playing (as much as I can at least) with my 3 year old son and its really sad to admit this but I am just now realizing what a joy my children are. They have always been taken care of but I never took the time to really enjoy them...sadly all of my time was spent on pills..I mean every minute of every day. It makes me sad that I have essentially "missed" a lot of my kids lives. I have a whole new appreciation for my family as well as the little things in life...like hearing my sons belly laugh while we play....it makes all of the suffering so worth it...just my observation for the day :)

Glad you're enjoying your kids again.  It's so important!!  Thankfully I didn't know about pills when my kids were little.  Their in their late teens now...so I don't enjoy them too much anymore..lol.  Very happy for you!  Feel better!

Ugh, so guilty of this and I too am enjoying my kids more. My whole day evolved around pills. :(

Isn't it the truth?  Your life is totally on hold when pills are the main focus. I just want to share my positive experiences with quitting with those who need it most. I want to get across how much better life can be....

Side note...sorry for the sappyness...everyday I discover something new and wonderful about sobriety and I feel like this is the best place to share those things...with people who understand and care...thanks guys!!!!
