Forgot to say that my oldest daughter has ADHD and we DO NOT give me medicine for it . We changed her diet and worked around it , GTMI is right there are more things that will help than just meds but some people really do need the meds. My step daughter has to have them but some dont
good luck
It seems to me that you wouldnt have talked to his doctor if he needed the medicine but maybe talked to him and tried to work things out that way. Now he doesnt have his meds that he does need and isnt able to get them and you feel bad if you give him yours . Its never ok to give someone who is addicted meds but maybe talking to him might have helped before cutting things off with his doctor seems drastic to me .
Then why did you talk to his Dr? Isn't it because he abuses them?
I would do a search for alternative treatments for ADD. Maybe go see a Naturopathic Dr.
There are other ways to treat ADD, herbs, amino acids, and dietary changes.
I feel like I should because he really does have ADD and is going to have a hellish week at work & I feel like I'm making it worse for him.
If you know in your heart, then follow your heart. It is never OK to enable an addict. Why don't you feel guilty about that? If you do give him one, what have you done for him?
Stay strong, say no.
