I Ditto the Above...
However, if you want to go on Subs and work a Recovery program then I would suggest you do this under a Sub Program. These are nothing to mess around with.
You should not take any Subs at least 12-18 hours after the last dose of a short acting drug and 24 to 48 hours after a long-acting one. This is what I read in a Sub/Methadone book that they use for w/ds or Recovery program. STILL..You would be better not to go down that route. The Subs/Methadone is a much harder one to kick and get out of the system. It is very synthetic and does not like to let go..Let alone what these meds do to our Brain Chemistry. Maybe go and talk with the DR about all of this. I am sure they can help you by giving you some comfort meds for a short time. Meanwhile hit some meeting..AA/NA or any outside Support. We all need support from one another and it will take another Addict to understand. I do wish you the best and plz do not mess with those Subs if you are not getting them prescribed from a Dr.

Listen friend, what you are doing to yourself is very dangerous. First off, you have to wait at least a week before starting the subs or you will be sick as a dog. Secondly, fentanyl kills. That's why it comes in micrograms. It is a rapid onset, short acting synthetic opiate with a crappy, not worth dying for high. Stay away. I'm sorry you have to go through this, but it's a must. Get sick and get it done. I'm thankful you are doing this today. Hang in there and lean on us for support.
Well I just finished my last dose of heroin. I'm going to be sick tomorrow. I just hope I can sleep tonight.im going to start the subs tomorrow. I'm scared to death.
Leave the substitution drugs alone. You are just postponing the inevitable. You will get horribly sick. There is no way around it. Nothing will help unless you can accept being on suboxone or methadone for life. Those places are like the dope dealers. They charge outrageous prices because they know how desperate you are and cut you right off the minute the cash runs out. I've been in this cycle my whole life. Before it is over you will pray to die. Not being mean, just honest. I'm in the same boat. My sub doc just retired at the same time my back has given out due to disc degeneration. I have been to the ER twice the pain is so bad. One thing, the back pain is so intense it takes my mind off the w.d.
Thanks for responding. I'm planning on quitting in the next day or two. I'm just wondering how long I need to wait before I can take the subs if I've been doing fentanyl for 5 days straight
Hi and welcome. You are on a crazy cycle. Some people come on here like you desperate to do anything to stop the withdrawls. It never works. You have to be sick and tired of this life and be willing to stop the madness. I'm sure you know, if you keep this up, you'll have much more to worry about than a car.
Get rid of the fentanyl and get rid of those "friends." You want a new life? Gotta cut ALL your sources and start going to meetings and/or counselor and get help.
There is NO way to avoid being sick as a dog w/ detox. We all had to do it to get free. Trust me, it is sooo much better on the other side. Sure, you can use those subs... and then what? You're just procrastinating. I think you know that.
