Finding a doctor to treat addiction(W Suboxone) and add.

I have been on Suboxone since Dec 26th. 2006. I have a great track record - never failed urine screen - havent relapsed - family still in tact! I was diagnosed with Epilepsy and ADD by a Neurologist about 3 weeks ago. The diagnosis was based on EEG results not just a guess! We discussed alot of treatment options; one being Adderall. My Epilepsy has(so far) responded well to a med called Keppra. My neurologist that made the diagnosis is not the one that has been writing my Suboxone for the last 5 years. I was on Adderall for a very short period in 2003. I lost a great deal of weight. I tapered off of it only to find the massive weight loss was due to my malfunctioning gall bladder. It was then that my life changed drastically!! I suffered complications after the surgery to remove my gallbladder, spleen and appendix. I was on narcotic meds for almost 2 years. It didnt take long for me to become powerless to opiates. My guess is the opiates acted much like the adderall did as far as ADD is concerned. In the entire 5 years I have been unable to convince any doctor to let me get back on the Adderall. I am now clean and sober and ISOLATED!!!! I do not get out of my house unless absolutely necessary. Now with the Epilepsy diagnosis I am in great need of getting back into life. I simply do not have the capabilities (emotional, physical,mental&spiritual) to function in the work force. My marriage is in shambles. My nest is empty. I absolutely have to get my life in order. I cannot work the way I am on an almost daily basis. I am going to "think" myself insane if I dont find a way to reimmerge into society.  So what is the secret!? Where are these doctors that care about the addict once they are clean!! I got sober NOW WHAT???

Hello fishersnana.  There is a movie you should watch.  Actually it is a documentary.  It is called, "The Finger of God" produced by Darren Wilson.  You can watch the entire film on youtube in 10 parts.  Remember that when you watch this film, you are no different than anyone on there.  We are all the same.  
On another note,  You should applaud yourself for getting clean.  If you can get clean, there is nothing that you can not overcome.

you are still on the suboxone now? is the neurologist aware of your suboxone use?
seizures can be a side effect of suboxone.
