Fiorinal with codeine help

Greetings!
Any help would be appreciated.
I've had severe cluster\migriane\tension headache for 30 years, and have tried literally every possible drug\therapy option, to no avail. Just so you know, the pain or almost suicidal but for having access to fiorinal with codeine for almost 30 yrs.

To keep it real, I do use them when no headache, but then have to make sure I leave enough for the real deal. My wife keeps the pills so I don't take to many or run out.

I realize I'm addicted, of the binge variety, as I always know I better leave enough for the true headaches.  My question that I'd appreciate some input on is 1. Any med worth trying? Funny thing, I'm a chronicle pain patient who takes morphine, vicoden, ativan, and have no issues abusing these. I take exactly as directed. I don't drink, at all. I do smoke cigarettes, but have quit 14 yrs before, no problem.

I have had life long depression \anxiety\panic attacks, that have cost me jobs, and bad decisions. I believe these pills fill some void that no other med has helped. I'm 50, been married for 26 yrs, and will never survive without these, unless there is another drug that works for the headaches.

Just wondering if I'm missing anything. If I honestly found another med that would work, I would stop these. The headaches are always in the neck\occipital areas, spreading to my eye's, causing tearing, violent vomiting \nausa\light sensitively..., in bed screaming in the dark for days w\o the fiorinal.

Hello and Welcome to our Community.

I just caught this hours later. I do know we have some folks on here that know alot about these meds. My last med that was prescribed was Methadone after the hydos & oxys did not work. Been off of them for over 3 yrs. Got very addicted to them.

Sounds like YOU have a handle on these meds and really need some relief here. I would like you to know that we have a "Pain Management Community" that would be very helpful for you. Other wise keep checking in. I am sure other will chime in soon. Just been kind of on the slow side this time of the year..Have a wonderful Thanksgiving and a Merry Christmas.
