I took lunesta myself, and it also gave me a horrible taste in my mouth, but that's one of the side effects of the lunesta. my husband took it b4 & he didnt have the bad taste, but i sure did! it was ughhh, but i fell asleep shortly after!!!
Are you drinking LOTS of water and some gatorade? Metalic taste could be from detoxing. Lots of fluids helps to flush out the system. Taking brisk walks helps too. It gets the lymph sytem moving which also detoxes you.
Take a HOT BATH right before bed and jump into bed...I took Tylenol PM about 1/2 hr. before the bath....it helps, it did me anyway! Mostly it just takes TIME..it will eventually come back......sorry ....
Thank you all for the support, sleep is the killer at this point. The aches, shivers, shaking are controlable but man o man what I wouldn't do for one great night. Also I have a bad almost metalic taste in my mouth whenever I drink liquids. Is this a normal thing? Im not so much a tea type of guy but I will try it as most of us here are willing to give anything a shot. Hope everyone is comfortable and has a great day.
Sleepy time tea w a spoonful of sugar not sure why this works with sugar but everyone tells me to use sugar with it.

Sleep does come back oh so slowly as does the energy. Try taking a fast walk a few hours before bedtime. Drink Natural Calm w/calcium at bedtime too.
Trouble sleeping is very common around here.....have you tried anything natural...such as melatonin or valerian root?
Best of luck......
Peace
