Getting off my vyvanse again

I'll try to make this short and sweet. I am an addict pretty much of my adhd pills. I was hooked on adderall for a good 5 years but kicked the habit after I have had enough of the terrible side affects and anxiety. I'm now on vyvanse  only really bc I am currently on house arrest because of a 2nd dui charge.  I take them because I get a lot of stuff done and to keep me from going insane until my house arrest is over. They make me feel and do some useless weird stuff I just want to be myself. So tomorrow starts my day without them. I'm currently 80 days sober today from alcohol so this will be my next mountain to climb by getting off pills. I know the withdrawal I just hate going through it I guess. I got this. Prayers please for getting back to my old self

Well day 3 without my adhd pills and I don't feel that bad at all. I think it's because I'm pretty healthy and am not drinking anymore I don't know. I am just hungry all time but Im ready to give up mind altering drugs up for good. All they do is mess with your head. It's good to just be yourself and not have to be on anything.

Good luck to you with kicking your addiction, it ***** the life and souls out of us if we let it. There are some really great folks on here to help out just stick around. After your house arrest is over you really need some kind of aftercare weather it be meetings or something else that will work for you. Getting off drinking and drugs is the easy part staying clean is what's so hard! Their is something that makes us feel the need to numb ourselves to cope with life. I wish you the best in your recovery and in your life. You can do this, one day at a time as most say!
