Going to DENTIST to have a tooth pulled

Had to go to the good ole dentist today, have a tooth that has to come out. This Friday will be 60 days no hydro!
He is going to extract the tooth on my 59th day!
I told him about what was going on with the hydro and did not want any ( I have plenty). May go back and get a shot to numb it again when it starts to wear off.  Ibuprofen make me sick !! that is what he suggested. Guess i'll wait and see how tough I am. LOL everyone  be thinking of me if you can..............Anyone have any ideas???...Thanks

Well, I kinda had the same problem you did a few weeks ago.  I had to have a retreatment of a root canal.  Told the dentist that I only wanted a couple of pills.  Took my hubby with me and when we got the pills filled, he kept them and gave them to me at the correct times.  I also took about 800 mg. of ibuprofen.  I don't know what you can do since they make you sick.  Whatever happens, I will really be thinking about you.  Let us know how things turn out.

U have plenty?  at home u mean?   and have stayed clean anyway...wow...that is an accomplishment...i couldnt have done it myself with pills at my house....pulling a tooth should not be too bad....my mom had a root canal a few weeks ago   i had told her about my tab issues...she maintained on ibuprophen...think i may have scared her a bit...poor thing...doesnt even drink and now whe is scared to take a pain pill...often have wished i had not told her but i needed someone to keep me in line...to be accountable to...good luck with the tooth

one tooth should not be that bad.  just make sure you stay honest with yourself about the paain, the mind will play tricks on you.  smart move to tell the dr about your use.  i will keep you in my prayers

Good luck with the tooth.  I always had more pain before i had them pulled.  My grandma swore by clove oil so i still keep some around and when i get an achy tooth i dab some on my gums around the area.  Dont know if it helps or if my brain just thinks it does but my tooth pain usually goes away.  You get clovey breath tho!!!!  Am glad you told your dentist.                sara

Haveing 1 tooth pulled really should not require any pain killers. Don't worry about it and you'll be fine. Fear of the procedure is the most painful part.

I am agree with magi  If its one tooth even something like extra strength Tylenol should work . My son has been getting teeth pulled for the few months he had baby teeth that did not come out on there own he has not needed anything after . He hops right back up and goes he it just amazing lol kids

Got back from the Dentist, layed down took a short nap and so far so good.
Have to go to oral surgen in a few weeks but I will deal with that when the time comes.
