Hang in there; I obviously don't have any experience with endometriosis, but I'm sure someone will be along soon who can advise. As far as basic cramping goes, that is also a symptom of detox, along with the headache and general blah feeling. This is where your head will start talking to you - just one pill will help you get through this - what will one hurt?  Don't listen. During my day 3 I walked around thinking "I'd kill for a pill". You will be tempted, but don't give in. You will get through today - a quote that helped me...Count the seconds, count the minutes, whatever it takes to get you through. Keep posting. Drink liquids, take hot baths, etc.  We'll be here.

Aw Hon - I am soooo sorry.  I know how horrible the endo pain is - I truly do.  I would take 4 motrin, get the heating pad on you, lay down and ride it out.  Wanting a pain pill now will only reset everything you are working towards and you know it isn't a long term solution.  Seriously, speak with you gyno about getting on some continual birth control and stopping your period - I've been managing my endo like that for 23 years with a few surgeries in between.  Get a plan in place to manage the endo so you feel like you have some control.  Take a breath and make the decision to get through this without taking the pill, PLEASE.   Your life is worth it.

I take Seasonique and not supposed to bleed so this started out of no where. I know you are right. It's hard but I need to be strong for myself and family. I cannot take Nsaids so can't take Aleve.

I took seasonique as well and everyone I knew had a lot of spotting issues with it.  I switched 6 months ago to LOSeasonique and I've had much better luck with it.  I also started spotting rampantly in my first day of detox so maybe it's just your body trying to regulate itself.  I would definitely speak to your doctor and try a different birth control until you find somethings that keeps spotting to a minimum.  I FEEL your pain and I'm so sorry you are having to deal with this while detoxing.    Hang in there!

just try to be honest with yourself about the REAL reason you took those. That will make this so much less complicated for you.

Hi Spike..
Don't beat yourself up...As Ricart said, Be honest with yourself.  It is the first and most important step in reclaiming your life.
If you really want to get clean you need to set yourself up for success.  When you are in detox your body and brain are going to test you in all kinds of ways. You are addicted and you want drugs.

I understand about the endo pain-I have stage 4 and have had many surgeries...My first cycle post-opiates was really rough, and I can't take NSAIDS either.  I used heat and tylenol and I breathed through the pain because the pain of my addiction was so much worst...And I knew that if I kept going I was going to lose so much more. Possibly my life and definitely my soul.
When we get clean we need to remove our connections with the pills and set ourselves up with as much support as possible.  Put sobriety first at all costs.  That way when our addict brain kicks in and our bodies are begging for drugs we have roadblocks.  It takes work and a new plan in place.  You have to believe in yourself.  Put a heating pad on your tummy and treat yourself gently and with love...
Know that you aren't alone and that you are supported here...

ok so you caved...like wise ricart says find out why you caved...you know how this thing starts...a few here a few there a little more and more. but guess what? you can start over rigjt now. dont take anymore. no no no. no more. try motrin..use a heating pad. i know endo is horrible cramping...i had horrible cramps before i had a hysto...but i dealt with bad cramps with heat...it works.

ive noticed a pattern we all get trapped into. we all have used narcotic pain pills for what ever ails us. headaches backaches toothaches earaches cramps bad knees bad wrists bad whatever...but we must find an alternative way of dealing with the pain. and because we KNOW that the pain pills work we dont try anything else we skip over the tylonol and motrin...we say that wont work...ive tried that in the past and it did nothing...because weve trained our brains that the other meds dont work. what if there were no more paim pills in the world? what would you do then? what if this was your last day here on earth? do you want to spend it high?

im in no means trying to make you feel bad. heck ive relapsed too. yep. rhis weekend and last. but now i get sick from the pills. i think ive worked myself up so much mentally i made myself throw up. or hate that fuzzy feeling.

i bet if i gave you a pink tylonol it would work. hahaha...mind over matter. our brains our powerful...if we say we that wont work..it will never ever work..if we say it will work..we make it work.

so thats my opinion...i would not spend any more time dwelling on taking pills. so you slipped. but you havent fell down. and even if you do fall...i hope not...you just pick yourself back up...stay with us and post...we want you to be free...not chained to pills and shame....hugs.

I am so very sorry you are feeling bad. I understand the cramps and bleeding too,,,I do know that my cycle was really messed up after detoxing ,,mine lasted 12 days 5 heavy bleeding and then intermittent spotting off and on. Im assuming its from detoxing.

You need to have a plan in place first of how you are going to deal with your pain issues that will arise when coming off opiates. Kinda like a back up plan. Can you talk to your doctor about an alternante med that you can take,,,My GYN gave me Tordol once and that worked great! Its non narcotic/non addictive,,we used to give it in the hospital to patients all the time via IV but they do have a pill form too.  I hope that you feel better soon. Get out the heating pad,,take a warm bath and put a pillow under your knees. ~(((HUGS))) Bkitty
