Ok here goes my first real shot at getting clean....Im 30 yrs old and had when i was 25 i hurt my back and begin to take 10/325 hydro and it started off slow but it has gotten really bad. For the last 3 yrs ive been taking up to 15 10/325 a day or anything else i can get my hands on. Ive lost everything and i have very few people in my life that have stuck by me. Right now i have a good job and a good man that has no idea of my problem. I want to get better because of him. Pills have ruined my last 2 serious relationships and i wont let it happen this time. In the last 3 yrs ive never ran out of pills. I am not taking my last 2 pills. I have 2 strips of suboxen that i will start to take and stay on them til im ready to be completely clean. I cant stop the pills and go through all the withdraws bc i will lose my job and probably my man. So my question is about the Subs..When can i take my first quarter? Will i go through any type of withdraw pysically?? Im Scared but i need to do this for myself. I want my life back. I want to be the person i was before. Please someone help me!!!!!!!!

i wanna say ive been methadone for 7 yrs n even though ive been on so long my w/ds arent bad its how u come off same w the subs  come down slowly...the slower the better..if u need a cruch to keep u clean for a while so be it.everyones different. on another note was doin heroin for 4 yrs n all my w/ds where the same..first time i went c/t doin 3 bags aday..than 3 yrs later doin 15 to 20  it didnt matter sic is sic

first off i wanna say congrats on wantin to get clean..subs dont take all w/ds away but make them bareable.when i was tryin to get clean i tried them n just relapsed so i start on methadone. my life got better within 2 wks..im not sayin go on methadone but just sayin it saved me. u have to see whats rite for u..in my case i was in n out of rehab for yrs and had no other choice cuz i would have oded eventually.take it one day at a time,start takin the sub n see how u feel.u may be strong enough to just use them    as far as w/d i was havin hot cold sweats,and minor body aches nothing like w/d cold turkey...u may even wanna go to an na meeting helps some ppl coop w the loss.talkin or writin about how u feel may help.good luck n feel better

and like with anything.....the longer you are on the meds.....the worse the WDs are....but you can do it.....with help from us....and there are lots of stuff you can take......natural stuff that can help you get thru first few days.....check out the Thomas Recipe at bottom right hand corner....and IF you decide to go CT......make sure you have Gatorade.....ensure or boost.....LOTS of imodium.....advil (ibuprofen).....maybe get some epsom salts for hot hot baths....(which will be heaven)  trust me....multi vitamins..maybe B12 sublingual...some say B6......soup....crackers....maybe popsicles...i know that's overwhelming....but mainly just hydrate hydrate hydrate....and i would def at least get the imodium and boost.....just let us hear from you what ever you decide to do hon.....we are here for you....

hi and welcome to this site!!  i know it's scary at first to be here....but i was here 16 days ago and scared just like you.....know one knows my secrets either except here.....also want to say i don't have experience with subs BUT i've heard they are hard to WD from.....maybe even more so than Norco.....which is what i was taking for alot of years.....i know someone will come long soon and give you their opinion on it....wish i could be more help but i just wanted to say if I can get to 16 days clean....you can too....this site literally pulled me out of some dark days....saved my life....please keep posting and know that we all care and want you to succeed....someone will come along soon and post about the subs.....just keep checking back.....good luck hon
