Try gabapentin, it removes all the meth withdrawal symptoms.
Could someone explain to me the difference in Ritalin (methylphenidate) vs. Methamphetamines? I thought they were the same pretty much.
i do not know if you are still trying to stop with an aide but my frind has tried with adderall and suboxone or whatever it is called and this ruined his ability to get a high while on it which is a good thing and did help him to stop mostly even when he relapsed but he was pissed he didnt get high b ut that was the point to stop and i dont know if that helps. i never used any aide they were not an option for me at all bc of cost and drs always treat addicts like ****{my experince anyhow} but it would have been nice in the beginning when your hit with the intense stuff. i wish you all the luck! been sober from meth since 2005 so it is possible!
Actually, the original source of my first treatment is still in business. However, at a cost of $15,000 for initial treatment and $4,000 for any "booster" treatments, it is not really an option for most of people who need it. Including me now.
Probably a good reason it's no longer there
Wow. Thats really interesting that you were treated with Flumazenil. I had never heard of this medication being used for anything other than reversing benzodiazapine overdoses. Much the same way narcan is administered to reverse opioid overdoses.
I wish i could help with reference to a doctor to prescribe this drug for you. I m afraid i have no idea whatsoever about how one would go about sourcing a legitamate Rx of this medication.
Anyway. I just wanted to comment about this novel approach to Methamphetamine addiction. Here in NZ the methadone services have been trialing Methylphenidate(Ritalin) in a double blind study in an attempt to stabilise people addicted to Methamphetamines. This is still in the early phase but initial indications look positive.
All the best. Kind Regards Jeremy.
