Help with Heroin withdrawal

I need to quit heroin. I quit cold turkey last year and said I could never do it again...but after 8 mos I started using again...I only have a 4 bag a day habit this time. I am on probation for a DUI so I cannot go to detox or get on suboxene...I will be violated...my question is...My dr just switched me from Klonopin to Ativan with Vistaril...I also take ambien 10 mg....I have flexeril for leg cramps...but I wanted RLS medicine...if I get a script for requip..and take my ativan, ambien and vistaril...will it ease my withdrawal symptoms?...I have probation in 4 days and am going to get urine testedx this time so I have no choice.......any suggestions...plus if I can go 4 days I would like to quit for good again...somebody help me...I need ADVICE on this matter people   I can get thru the diahrea and the sweats ..its the BONE PAIN I cannot stand...I am due to start the Vistaril and ativan tomorrow...and I have kept my script for flexaril and not taken my ambien for a week because I knew this day was coming...anyone out there who can give me some advice?

it sounds like you need aftercare,to help you stay clean,na,aa,church.  do you see a therapist for your disorders? you need to talk to someone to help you work through them. i have panic disorder and they can def. be life controlling. stress def. can cause many disorders. if that is a factor try things to help with relaxation,excerise, prayer, you need to try to deal with the disorders without narcotics. adds to your addiction. god bless, take care and post again.

I vowed that when I quit LAST YEAR i WOULDNT START AGAIN BECAUSE i COULD NEVER GO THROUGH WITHDRAWAL AGAIN.i DO NOT INJECT...NOT THAT IT MAKES IT ANY BETTER BUT MY BROTHER TOLD ME THAT ITS A LONG WAY BACK FROM THE NEEDLE. aND YES i AM PRESCRIBED ALL OF THOSE MEDS FOR MY bORDERLINE PERSONALITY DISORDER AND PANIC DISORDER/AGORAPHOBIA......i PLAN ON STAYING CLEAN EVEN AFTER i SEE MY PO TOMORROW....AND ALL OF YOUR RESPONSES HAVE HELPED ME MAKE UP MY MIND...THANK YOU FOR YOUR INPUT.

I am not familiar with the heroin withdrawls so I don't know if they are worse than pain pills or not but I can only guess and say that they are. You should probably go talk to someone and find out a good path for you with all the meds you are taking. As long as you want help, there is help for you. Remember that this is for the rest of your life. If you go to jail for a long time, how much will that mess up your life. Good luck to you and hopefully you get clean soon!

Heroin is my doc and I would not wish the withdrawal on anyone. The bone pain that you speak of is the worst and will have you down for a few days.

My concern for you right now is that you are scrambling to take this drug, and that drug so you can get off of the original drug. It's the behavior that I see and it scares me that you will not be able to stay clean with that thinking.

Like I said, I have been through the withdrawal more times than I care to count so I don't say this this lightly when I tell you to just go through it and get it over with. There are home remedies and natural supplements you can take to help ease the process. Let us know if you are interested.

Hi!  The most important thing is that you get clean.  If all those meds are prescribed to you, you will be ok as far as probation goes.  But you do have to quit heroin before you die.  Quit for good this time!!!  Get this stuff to go with the meds you are taking:

Imodium
Advil
Epsom Salt for hot baths
Mag/Cal supplement

Honestly, that is quite a cocktail of drugs, and I am surprised a doctor would give them to an addict, but that is another discussion entirely!  The important thing is that you need to stop before you die or get busted and go to jail!!!
