Help with Ultram withdrawal

Hey out there...i need help.  Even thought I have been on and off this **** (ultram) for the past 10 years, It has been awhile since I have attempted to quit.  Now I am going cold turkey.  Not by choice, but I really have to wonder if it's not the best way for me.  I was up to about 36 pills a day and can only imagine how long it would take to taper.  I am so ready to be off of them.  But I am writing to get tips on conquering the withdrawal symptoms.  What can i do or take to help me get through this?  Anyone with this similar dosage having gone cold turkey?  Please post all the tips you can.  Thank you.

10 years & 36 a day....I would probably taper some; ct is going to be very hard.  I successfully tapered from patches/percs almost 16 months ago; ct would have been difficult to continue to function in the working world.

Just a thought....

I wish you would be careful with c/t  the trams.  So many others on here who have been on them.(esp if taking other meds with it)

The Thomas Recipe is listed in the Health Pages or under Most Viewed Pages.  You will need the basic things ( immodium, benadryl, otc pain meds, ect.  I highly reccomend the Clonidine and a few tranzene but the are prescription only as you know.      Detox is tough but doable.  The mental part comes after detox and lingers awhile,  Please post often and ask questions, read through these posts as many others are or have used ultram also.

Best wishes on your journey!
