Ive been addicted to hydrocone for about 6 yrs now. 9 or 10 hydo 10mg a day. A buddy gave me 2 and a half 8 2 suboxone films. Im on day 4 of the subs now. Day 1 i took a 1/2 of the film under the tongue. The past 3 days i have only been taking a forth of the film in the mornings. Working great! Very minor withdrawl syptoms. My plan is to take a 1/4 film tomorrow and then take the last film in 1/8s till the last one is gone. If i do this will i still have horrible wds or can i finally expect to be normal again? How bad if any will the wds from the hydro be if any? Hopeing i am doing this correct the hydo will be completly out of my system. Dont want to have to take the subs any longer then to just get me thru the worst of it. I have quit the hydros in tha past and it was horrible. So can somebody please help me and tell me if this is correct in doing it this way. I want these poisons out of my life for good this time! I hate those effing pills so much!

Today was a bad one....to say the least! Still no hydro but have had anxiaty like i have never felt today. Rough day at work. Was a struggle! Still taking 1/8 dose of the sub in the mornings. Have enough for about 2 more days. Literally had to get a xanax from a good friend which has helped i guess. Think its now day 9 with no hydro and dont crave or want them at all! Just kinda high strung naturally but today was rough. Still gonna stick with the plan, just dont know why all of a sudden i wake up fealing in such a bad way. Thank u all for chiming in....means a hell of alot to me

Iron I didn't see your next two posts.  So tapering won't work. Ok.  Well taking the subs won't hurt.  You seem determined.  So finish the subs on your plan and then jump. You can and will do it.    
Just don't get stuck in the subs.   Stick to your plan.

Iron, you probably shouldn't go the sub route.  Although 6 years is a while it is doable without subs. And yes you will definitely have withdrawals. Subs don't just take them away.  If I were you I would either taper the vikes or just go cold turkey.  I was on sub for over 2 years.  Not fun.       Plus the withdrawals physically only last like 7-14 days.  It is the mental challenge that makes vast majorities if addicts return   And nothing but aftercare and determination will get you thru.          With that said , your habit wasn't bad speaking in drug terms.  I've seen and was in worse.  Just keep talking and do some research.  Read a lot of threads.  God bless and good luck

By the way im on day 7, im down to 1/8 of a 8/2 suboxone for the past few days. Hopefully wds arent gonna be bad. Have been fealing good past few days

Yea i have done the cold turkey thing.....terrible! I have read alot on this place over the past year or so. Soo tired of dependance! A buddy turned me onto the subs, just dont know how the wds from the sub is. Guess we will see cuz i sure as hell aint taking any more hydro! Weaning off.....doesnt work for me!!! If i got em...im eatin em! When the subs gone thats it, im done! Bye bye opiates

welcome!!  there are alot of people on this site that can give you good info!!  just keep posting and reading the board...we are all here for each other no matter what the DOC is....i personally have no experience with Sub....but was on Norco10 for 10+ years....on day 4 of CT with draw.....we are here for you!  this site has been a God send to me!!

Hi there- You may not have any wd's while you take Suboxone.  But, you WILL have wd's once you stop taking the Sub. I know you don't want to hear that but it's true...If you want to taper, it might be better to taper off the hydro instead.
