Hi All

Hi All
I needed to return to this forum one time more....several reasons:)
My first....
I came here in 2010, a totally lost broken hopeless mom, my son was an iv heroin user, that I tried to save,  in the end it was you who saved me.
I found this forum by total accident, little did I know then what an impact it would have on my life nearly 5 years later.
My deepest heartfelt Thank You goes to each of you that played a part , it's people and places like this that make the unbearable....doable !!!
My son is now near 2 1/2 years into his recovery. It didn't come easy,  but it finally came from him.
Second....
One of you took my hand and never let go, while you may never read these words, I need to say a very special Thank You to YOU !!!.
Misery loves company...maybe, but I was given the privilege through that misery to celebrate one more time !!
Funny how a stranger has turned into someone who will forever hold a special place in my heart...
We did it together, you and I.
How fitting that your gentle loving soul would find your one year anniversary to fall on Easter morning.
No one could be more proud of you ...than I.
Here's to continued success to 2 very special men in my life...forward only !!!
Third... to any one that finds their way here feeling hopeless, please know that is not the case.
Let the people who have walked the road before you be your guiding light...
I commend each one of you for giving so unselfishly, don't change a thing about what you do...your saving lives

NJ girl. ..Thank you :)

Sara. ..you were my silent guiding light.
I followed every word you wrote to others,  taking every bit of it in.
Today I know why my son changed,  it was me having the strength to make his addiction 100% his own.
The hardest thing I've ever done in my life, and something I couldn't have done without the wise words I found here.
Thank You. ...your one very special lady !!

Oh Deb, what an amazing update about you and your son!!!  A big Huge Congrats to you both on 2 1/2 yrs of sobriety.  I remember how lost you were.  Hope wasnt in your vocabulary.  You fought so hard for your son in those early days and what you found was you.  You in turn showed your son there was a way out.  I couldnt be more happy for you~
