4 Years is a long time, even at that low dose you are probably going to have to deal with some pretty severe WD issues. Chills, cold sweats, sneezing, yawning, no sleep ( which could last for some time), stomach issues including cramping and diearhea, depression and possibly some panic attacks. Also most people have some RLS, sometime severe, mine was never to bad though. Your family will definately know that something is up. The first four days are always the worst. My worst days were one and two, after that it gradualy got better days 3 and 4. Day 5 was great.
I would consider talking with your family about this. I could not have gotten straight without my families support and these forums. Don't underestimate what reading these forums will do for you. The support structure here is a huge help and on the nights that you are going to be up all night, you should spend some time here.
Hot baths are also a godsend, make it as hot as you can stand and it will give you some immediate relief when things get really bad.
I wish you the best and hope that everyone here can help you get through this.
The post above answers it best!
everyone is different with opiate wd's but you can mainly expected to feel run down, tired, maybe a little sick, no appetite or very little, an intense craving for vicodin, which is probably the worse of the wd's.
There is a reciepe for opiate wd, maybe you should read up on it. Its the thomas reciepe and it was very useful and ease's some of the pain associated with wd's.
I hope you do good and cold turkey and keep us posted on how you feel. We're all in this together and we need each others support if we're going to make it thru!!
Plan to post anytime with any questions im sure everyone here would love to help and give advice in the worse of times! It does get better trust me im at 8 days and feel pretty darn good. So just hang in there and it will be over sooner than you think!
