Also, try to limit your caffeine intake! That will help with your anxiety too!

I took Ritalin (just like Adderall) and it gave me really bad headaches.  Also if I drink too much caffeine I get one too.   - You said you were drinking a lot of soda.

You don't wanna lose this site and I know u want ur life back but you can't wait for it you have to TAKE IT....  Sounds like ur sitting there reading things that make mental aspect worse, your a young guy like everyone said sun helps a lot, go out in sun and work out since ur a young guy in good shape even if you feel 100 percent against it force it on yourself and once u start u will already feel better... Hope that helps man.... Ask me anything and BREATHE like these guys told me, these guys are amazing and want to help, like I said stop reading about brain tumors your fine bro ur a healthy young man..... Oh and p.s. from what I've heard adderal causes extreme headaches in some just a note of caution..... Don't leave, hang around I DID and I have more respect for everyone on this site than most I know in real life.... Have better days broseph.....

I am so sorry that you are going through this! I'm a hypochondriac, and I've had MRI's you name it. I will say this.. About 10 years ago, I was having headaches everyday, and I wound up needing sinus surgery. Usually, if you have a tumor... You have a whole set of symptoms! I don't suggest google.. I can have back pain, and in 10 minutes I have diagnosed myself with cancer of my kidneys. Anxiety is a beast. I also took adipex at one time.. It's a diet pill and its basically aderall. I had to stop day 2... Anxiety hit me something terrible.. Aderall can actually cause anxiety! It speeds everything up. You are among a great group of people, and we all have a lot in common. You will get through this!!!

I know you want to hear from a peer your age, I'm jealous. If I got all this info at your age, I would have been way better off. Be glad us old foggies are here to tell you what happens if you just ignore your issues.

I will have to agree with Atthebeach..Drs or people do not think you can have w/ds from adderral..I call BS..I can sit here at almost a year later and tell you what experience in my detox was caused by each med to the tee..They all hit different areas that affect the nervous system bad.
I am glad you are hanging in. Great Advice from us ALL..Keep it up..OK?

how much Adderall are you taking? you shouldn't stop that cold turkey,
it should be tapered.
I think many of your symptoms are from the adderal.
ask your doctor for a taper plan.
you do sound so much calmer and clearer now. talking helps so much.
we are glad to have you here.

Oh that is a AD med which Nursegirl is SO good about those. It takes a good 4-6 weeks to kick in. Some AD meds will cause a lot of anxiety and fast heart beat until it kicks in. This is why they say give it time. I stated on that one after 10 months in for a while. It made me Blah and the Dr said take it at night. I think it works good for me right now. It seems to lessen my cravings a bit..Ha! Even if I had a bad one the other day..That was a whole different ballgame. And I have learned on here that I will have to taper off of that one when I am ready.

That med can take about 4-6 weeks to be effective.  You need to give this time.  It will most likely help to decrease your symptoms but often times with these meds, you have to feel a little worse before you feel better.  I've just started taking Zoloft again after a long time off of it, and am definitely having some side effects (all those I mentioned above).  I'm so jittery at times that my hands shake, but I know it's only temporary, so I keep myself busy and distracted.

Do you take any anti-anxiety meds?  Like Xanax or Ativan?  You may need a short course of something like that until the Celexa starts working.  That's something you need to talk to your doc about.

but i just started taking it two days ago so its not in my system yet

BINGO!

That's definitely part of the issue I'm sure.  There are some initial start-up side effects, like an increase in anxiety, feeling jittery and headaches.  They typically get better after a week or 2.  What dose did you start out on?

I agree that the meds may be a factor.

I wrote that reply for you earlier on the anxiety forum, spelling out ways you can help yourself.  Searching for symptoms is only going to keep you stuck in this cycle.

Go back and reread my post and start formulating a plan to help yourself.  You need the help of a professional too.  If at any time you feel you may harm yourself, you need to seek help immediately.  This IS something that you can manage.  I know right now it doesn't feel that way, but trust me, if you put your mind to it and start doing the things that will help you, you will see results.

You need to find a psychiatrist who can evaluate your medication regimen too, soon.

Hang in there.  Don't pull away, you need support.  You need to find someone in your real life to turn to as well.
