How do i kick codeine, does anyone know a doctor who can help pls???

Hi all, im a 40 yr old mum of 2 & have been addicted to codeine for many, many yrs. It started for back pain & i also have Crohn's disease. I was on heavier narcotics till the last 6 months when i stopped & took up taking 12-14 nurofen plus for my pain but also out of addiction to the feeling or "buzz" i have from them which im ashamed to say. I've decided to go C/T & had a reduced dose yesterday morning of 3 & none since then. Any help & advice would be appreciated, I've been through detox with them before & it was absolute hell. Im hoping that i can kick it for good this time, i live in Melbourne Australia & would be further appreciative if anyone could suggest a doctor that may help if necessary pls?? Thx for your time, love & light too you all ☺!!

Did you go from 12-14 a day to 3 and then none?  Do you have any more pills laying around?  If you do you need to get rid of them.  Is your doctor someone you can talk to about this?  It would be best to talk with him/her since you are also dealing with Crohn's.  We want you safe.

Hey Boo idk if you already know the Thomas Recipe   Very strong of you to c/t, that is hard ...  don't be ashamed there is no reason, addiction is a cunning and baffling disease ... usually the physical part is easier than the mental, though the first several days may be tough.  hang in there!  you are doing a great thing!
