How long does Vicodin withdrawal last?

Been on Vicodin for about 6 months.  Highest dosage 15mg 4xd daily. Tapered off to 10mg for 4 days, 5mg for 4 days and none. Insomnia, cold sweats, hot flashes, depression, irritability, life totally *****.  How much longer before I am a functioning human being again?

Try to get some water or gatorade in too..it helps to flush you out.  Vitamins and minerals also?  See the Thomas Recipe, good stuff to help too...congradulations on your wanting to quit!!  In good company here :)

Congrats on the taper !! day 3 and 4 are the worst for most by day 5 and 6 you should feel a easing of the physical symptoms.. I had found forcing myself outside to walk was a great help physically for the rls and also helped me with anxiety and depression.. it takes a lil longer for the feel good endorphins to start producing on their own again but exercise helps to speed up the process.. sleep is the last to return but it does return.. Congrats on freeing yourself.. hope you stay around for support as this is a great sight with many understanding people.. lesa
