How long will these withdrawls last?

If I have only been doing 1mg or so of suboxene every other day for a year, how long do you guys think the withdrawls will last? And how bad do you think they will be? I have beaten a years worth of 135mgs of methadone but that took  over a year to recover from. Do you guys think it will be that bad? Thankyou for any input.

I agree that to have the easiest transition the more you can taper the better, Sub is active in mcg. You can do a liquid taper which allows you to get to the mcg dosing that is difficult to achieve w/ 2/4mg pills. I have taken sub a couple times the last time I only took 2mg/day for a month. My last 2mg was Aug 15th. I still don't sleep well and have anxiety but the acute w/d for me was not so bad...I do think that is partly due to only having taken it for a month. A lot of this is mental a + attitude goes along way!!! good luck!

Thanks for your advice. Your right i probably should taper. 1 mg doesn't sound like much but it is a strong med.

Do you plan on tapering down? I would if I were you even though you have been a low dose compared to others. One mg may not seem like much but sub is pretty strong. It's prescribed in micro mgs for pain management. No need to rush things unless you absolutely have to come off of it for some reason. It should not be as bad as methadone though. There is a member here on the forum that tapered off methadone and then went to subuxone. She was on sub for 3 months, tapered down, and hardly had any withdrawals at all.
