How long?

I am on day 2 of cold turkey from a habit of 20 percocets and 20 tramadol and about 10 ambien a day. I am able to eat a tiny amount and trying to drink water. Is there a rough estimate on how long my legs will keep moving and when the cold and hot flashes will ease up a bit?

You've definately come to the right place, and from what I can read in your most recent post you're ready to take that step in your life where you're free from everything all together. Nobody can tell you for sure when everything will stop for you, especially the RLS you're experiencing. Some people, it takes weeks. It took me 4-5 days and it was over. It all depends on the person. Keep posting here on the forums, though. Posting on here is what took my mind off a lot of things going on with me physically. I did my detox and WD from home without the assistance of any other medications. It can be done!

thanks for the support, i started on vicodin three years ago for physical pain and started to like it way to much. without going into detail i am suffering from a severe illness, i guess like most of us it numbed the way i felt emotionally. now three years later, look where i am at. i have gone thru wd's over 20 times, but not on purpose. i have a determination in me that has never been there before. it is very funny to live in desert where it is 115 and one min i am freezing and the next i am soaked! the only thing i am focasing on is the water for now, i am afraid if i take vitamins they will just come back up, maybe next week. here if you need to talk , good luck!

Nobody here's going to be able to tell you that unfortunately. It's all subjective and dependent on the person. Some people are through the worst of it in 5 days...and others take 30 days or more. I will tell you that time will make it better...just hang in there.

damn, thats quite a bit of meds to be taken in a day. you didnt try to tapper off them at all?
some say the w/d symptoms can last from 4 days to many weeks after you quit. its hard to deal with the restless legs and the chills, especially when its 90 degrees outside and your the only one that has goose bumps and is freezing your *** off. but try to stick to it. a lot of people here are going through the samething and can give pretty good advice. im only on day 3 of a 10mg hydro, 3-6 a day habit and i still got the chills and restless legs. some say bananas help and something called "hylands restful legs" found at walmart. i never tried it, but i mite if i dont get better soon. drink lots of water and take vitamins. keep posting, good luck.
