How long?????

I quit taking Xanax cold turkey 2 weeks ago, and I STILL feel awful!  I went to the ER to detox for 2 days and they prescribed me the same amount for 1 week,  Instead of taking the week supply, I threw them out and have been clean now for 2 weeks.  When will these symtons subside?  I cannot even leave the house, work or drive.  I feel completely "out of it".  I want my life back.  I feel like a hermit.  I took the drug for 8 years.  I would to teach my yoga class, but it to seems out the question at this time.

Do not mess with benzo withdrawal on your own...you can have serious withdrawal issues like seizures and worse.  I agree not without a doctor supervising would I do this.

Be careful really.  Usually they taper you off that stuff real real slow.

Hey Andrea, you need to talk with your doctor ok?  You took it for too long to stop cold turkey.  It could go on quite a while.  I hate to see anyone go through that!  I know all too well how it feels, and it's awful!
