I've had a good couple of months. Although it seems as thought my typing skills have faded by fast.
I wish everyone the very best here. Even those who had doubted by resolve and my desire to stop the medication. For whatever reasons..... I wanted to stop and I did not think I was an addict. That being said........ I have nothing but the utmost respect for those of you dealing with the issues that brought you here. God speed to all of you and my road to recovery be a relatively easier one that the one I went down.

Hang in there....... keep going on... you'll do fine. It takes a few weeks. But you'll feel better soon. Keep the faith

Thats awesome....your post really opened my eyes to alot of things.
I just quit the Sub after a 23 day treatment. I got myself down to 1 mg a day and now im praying for the best.....
still doing great. Pretty dang happy to have that part of my life done and over with. So far, no recurrances of stones.
Henry..... where are you darling??? Hope all is well where ever you are in the world tonight.
Just thought i'd drop in for an update.
Hugs
I'm finally feeling like ME again. Took long enough. I guess I was trying to hurry it along and I was just so anxious to feel normal again. But the truth is, I hadn't felt normal in over a year with the illness and everything. The cough is still sticking around, but nothing too bad.
Planning a trip to the sierras next month and hubby is celebrating my success by taking me to see Maroon 5 and The Counting Crows next month. We've got great seats and I'm more than a little excited.
I have to say, this was an easier detox than if I'd weened from the lortab alone. I think that if you are wanting to stop taking your meds... no matter HOW you ended up on them, then your going to succeed. I know that using the Sub to help my w/d and the detox process was much easier than just tapering from the lortab. The w/d were not as bad and I personally found it much easier. No hate mail please.
For those of you who've followed my journey and supported me... thanks so much. I really have found some great friends here... Henry... you know I love you... Nursie poo... all of you that have helped and talked me through so much of this c r a p . Thanks. I love you all. Those of you who've been not so nice... well, God Bless You.
Take care.

It sounds like you are well on your way. I'm sure it is hard to not feel well....but I agree with everyone else that most likely you are almost there....pretty soon, you will have more and more improvements..gradually I'm sure...but they will come.
You should celebrate your success...you really have done fantastic!
Your story is so helpful....it really does show just how powerful the sub is....and you were on a low dose for only a very short time.
I hope you are feeling better soon....I am very confident you will be. Hang in there.
Big hugs to you!
Glad to hear you are starting to feel better...I have never taken sub, so can't give any advice there...But when i detox'd from lortab, i also had a cough, and felt like i stayed sick for a while...Then when i really thought about it, I had not been sick once while using..I think the drugs masks all kinds of things...Then when i read about it, and posted, it seemed that everyone had the same experience..
But maybe see a doctor and make sure it is not a bug, cold, etc....
Praying that you are back to yourself soon!!

I also have been having a wicked cough and I read someone's post that said upper respiratory was a problem with the w/d's. I woke up the first three nights coughing my head off and am on day 11 and the coughing is still there but much better. Hope that is all it is with you, part of w/d's. I read your story and hang in there you have a wonderful family and much love that surrounds you:)
getting sick was routine for me after quiting 80 mgs of lortabs/3-4 years...i was so mad as i felt like i had been thru the mill then one flu bug after the other kept getting me down...almost broke me down...working, exhausted and sick all the time...i took a hard look at the supps and pumped up the C...it passed but for me it was close to 2 months of getting sick with like 3 different colds and a stomach virus///quitting must have took a toll on my immune system...not wds..that was only like 5 days of physical stuff..course the mental stuff lingers...hang in there and take the supps
When i quit the Suboxone last year i remeber it taking like 14 days to get back to normal, or as normal as i get...LOL
hey i did the taper thing with the sub and im on day 18 and i feel good. u shouldnt have much longer i think around my 9-10 day mark i felt okay. hang in there. u got this far..it can only get better! gl
I would still say your are in the last parts of withdrawal. I don't think it's menopause just yet. LOL
Sub w/d lingers on longer than most opiates. You should be feeling better fairly soon.
