DAY 2 is rougher than I thought.

Ugh, feeling awful now.  I also feel like I'm getting a cold.  My throat is really sore and my whole head is stuffed.  Is that part of withdrawals or am I really getting a cold on top of this?  Just wish I could sleep but it's time to pay the piper, I just wish the piper wasn't so damn greedy.

Well, I ran the dishwasher and got a couple of loads of clothes washed and put away. That's about enough for me today! Try to get some rest and baby yourself. Your body is probably pretty mad at you right now. I'm watching Jeff Dunham's last Comedy Central special right now. Pretty darned funny! Thinking of you,

I got a nasty cold right after the worst of my detox past also, I think our immune systems just get weak plus everyone I know in every part of the U.S. has either recently had an awful flu or nasty cold.  It is definitely goin around.  feel better soon and make sure to baby yourself right now.  Lots of rest, fluids.

Hi, hang in there.  I know how bad you are feeling, but it will get better.  Everytime I have quit painkillers, i have had a stuffy nose so it could be from the w/ds.  By day 6 it went away.  I'm not sure what you are detoxing from, but usually the worst of w/ds peak at day 3 or 4 and then it starts getting much easier after that.  Just keep reminding yourself that this will be the LAST time you will ever have to go through this because you are done with the drug. Also, believe it or not, the w/ds are a good sign that your body is starting to heal itself. I promise it will get better.

Thanks.  I didn't think about the allergies. I wish I had some antihistamines for sleep but I don't and no way I can go out.  I have gravol which used to knock me out but it doesn't even make me drowsy now.
Congrats Mikanik on Day 6.  That is fantastic!!!!!
I hope you are feeling better Minn.  You don't deserve to be sick.

You may just be getting a cold or have allergies. I feel the same way today. Sore throat and all. Gonna treat the symptoms and while I have some laundry and stuff to do, I'm going to take it easy today. You do the same and be kind to yourself. :)

it could very well be part of it....antihistamines....maybe even the ones that are more sedating?  Might help with sleep?  Of course, depending on where you live...it is allergy season! ;o)  Just remember it's only temporary and these few days of "ick" are worth it!  I'm on Day 6 and I woke up, walked downstairs and stopped and realized "wow...I'm not dreading the day...or that a new day is here!"  On my d.o.c. I would dread the coming days.  It's been a LONG time since I've actually looked forward to waking up!
