I MAKE MY STAND TODAY!!

Actually it started at 2pm yesterday.  NO MORE PILLS!  These damn things have taken me to a place in my life that I can no longer tollerate.  WISH ME LUCK!.  I'm not able to post at work but I will check in during the day.  The only thing that is scaring me is I have a trade show in Dallas this weekend and the pills made me work harder, made the day go by faster....you all know the excuses.
I'm ready for my life back.

That's great to hear.  I am in day 3 and going strong.  Just keep telling yourself you want your life back and you will get through it.  I used to love doing things with my family before the drugs, that all stopped and I want it back...GOOD LUCK !!!

Hi...working thru wds is no picnic...been there done that but it can be done.  I was also on biz trips through wds...on another trip right now.  Getting off the meds has been a challange but at this point day 37 or 38...not really keeping track anymore, I have my energy, with the help of some good starbucks in the AM..

You can def do this...if you are going ct there's some info on this site to assist you...

So proud of yu, i know you have been fighting this for a while now...I think a light kind of goes off in our head that just says enough!!! I think you are there and i am so proud of you..
AS far as work i have seen many people do it, I always looked up to these people, because i thought i was strong, but i couldn't work.....I also think your mind plays a very important role in this...FIGHT hard and get your life back..
It is so worth it!!!

I thought I would never get energy back after w/d's BUT now I have all kinds of energy.  I hope this happens to you and it keeps mind off using or it does me when my mind is busy on other things.  HANG in there you can do this 2  You are doing great, and it is wonderful to get your life back.

What a wonderful gift you are giving yourself and friends. Keep your eyes on the prize of being clean. After you feel better and a bad day hits you out of the blue. Look back and see how far you've come. For that bad day will pass. Each week sees improvement. It is not always a cake walk, but it si worth it to have your body/mind/soul/spirit back into your control again. Keep it up.
