I need help PLEASE!

I have been about 2 months clean from strong opiates (oxy and heroin) and about the same time off of prozac which i have been taking for 10 yrs. I have been experiencing bad anxiety and worry lately, the same as when i first came off opiates months ago. Could it be the lack of prozac or just the paws symptoms? I dont want to hop back on the prozac when it could just be the opiate withdrawl. I quit prozac because i dont want to rely on medication to be happy for the rest of my life. Has anyone experienced this type of completely freaking out about things after opiate use? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

It sounds to me like a combination of both, the anxiety is usually associated with anti-depressants.

I have read that the anxiety peeaks at 30, 60 and 90 days from opiate withdrawal. Are you treating yourself for PAWS with aminos and taking vitamins? I never did the opiates you did, I was on tramadol, and 48 days off it, I have anxiety. But I know it is coming from withdrawal.

So proud of you for getting off the opiates.

It's worth it. You were on a longer time. I was on 5 years for chronic pain. I don't expect it to vanish, but the anxiety is rough and it's real.

Hi,

did you taper the Prozac? If you stopped it at the same time, its really hard to tell. But I was only depressed and anxiiuos for a few weeks and then I went on Lexapro for a couple months. If you want to stay away from the opiates, you may have to try going back on Prozac or something similar at least for a while.

going throw it now  read my post it might help i got alot from the ppl talking to me ... i dont know what to say to u cause i dont know what to do myself but stay on  here .... it helps...
