That's really good to know. I used to work in pharmaceuticals (of course) and the Japanese L-Threonine is the best quality and is used in the more expensive formulas. It is hard to tell what manufacturer uses what, so ask the pharmacist or health care person. It is worth the extra few dollars to buy a product that is effective, sometimes the product we buy is not the real thing, so when it doesn't do anything, we think it doesn't work.
Good luck to you - I know what you're going through and if it's any consolation, I have been tapering for a long time after my 1st w/d and I'm almost off. It's hard, but so far my w/d are manageable. The usual anxiety and low energy - foggy and dizzy. hope it ends soon!
Keep up the good work, it will get better!
say, I visit another forum online with some friends that I have know since May 2008. Anyway, they are mostly older folks like me and have chronic pains and aches, etc. Many surgeries, and all that. They are talking just this morning about alternative methods for pain and anxiety control and one of the ladies I know there swears by the L-Theanine, she said it worked for her in 30 minutes. She has a very ill son whom has had cancer for a long time, so she has much stress on her, and she is amazed by what this stuff did for her. I never was able to get that, as I thought it was too expensive. She said to get the "Japanese" version of it, it was much less expensive than the "American",. I just wanted to let yall know, for anxiety she said this stuff was really great.
