SURGERY

hi everyone...i have missed you all.  i just wanted to post this and ask for some prayers as well as some support.  tomorrow i will be having my much dreaded surgery.  it will be very painful and the dr will give me pills and insist that i take them.  i am very nervous about taking them and worried about liking them...but i will have my hubby keep them and hand them out as needed.  my goal is to take less thaen prescribed and for a shorter period of time....wish me luck and keep me in your prayers.  thanks

I know this will be a painfull surgery...I have faith that u will do well....For some reason, when we are in terrible pain, they do what they are suppose too, and we don't get high...THANK goodness...Right now just worry about healing...I will be praying for you

geez...i am having alot of jaw pain as of late...i feel for you...is it TMJ or what?   curious as i am going to doctor after doctor trying to figurre out what mine is..hurting and out of work for 2 days...u will be fine girl....and since u have been off for a while, the pain pills should help u....i need to pm u about all of that...how is ur dtr?

i have told the dr about my addiction.  we had a long discussion and he thinks my body will focus on pain and not healing if i dont tke them for awhile.  i am having a disc replaced in my jaw...i had the other one done last march and i know the pain is severe.

HI all the best on your sergury.You said the dr. wil (INsist you take narcotic pain pills) I have had a resent hip-refurfacing and aside from the morphine drip for a day or two,no dr. insisted i take any pain-pill,it was quite the opposite!!!!! Tell the dr. of your Dependance/addiction and then see how much he Insists you take the pills.

You will be good! I am going going threw oral surgery right now myself. 8 hours in the last 4 weeks of oral surgery to be exact! It painful and i have been givin pills to help with the pain. I do not have anyone to hold my pills so it was all up to me! I was so scared but you what..i'm doing great!! At first anytime i even had a thought of takin extra i remembered how long it took me to get here and how hard it was! That was like a kick an the ***! Now i have people tellin me not to suffer and just take one!! LOL!! No way will i ever let that happen to me again!! You can do this girl!! I have faith in you and you have a great support system at home not to mention all of us here!! Stay strong and take care of yourself! Keep us posted!!

You are so strong and i know you can do this. I worry more about you not taking them when you are in severe pain than you taking them for the wrong reasons. I will be thinking of you and sending hugs your way.

Best of luck to you girl. You are strong you will do just fine. Great you have the support from your hubby...... I will still keep you in my prayers as you do for me as well. we'll catch up after your surgery and you are feeling better.
